We stopped over for one night with our two kids and our dog. The staff could not have been more friendly, and they were very helpful in giving us advice about places and events to check out in Bristol. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were glad we had booked one of the rooms with air conditioning as it was a warm night: we had cool air in the bedroom, and thanks to underfloor heating our feet were still nice and warm on the tile floor in the bathroom. We were impressed with how dog friendly the hotel was, with water bowl by the front door and treats on the reception desk. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable time and great value for money. We will be staying again!

Great property, small room but fine for one night stay. There was no air con in the room which made the sleep quite terrible. Second guest fell ill from the heat. Windows opening were limited. Hotel provided a fan, but the room was already too hot. Claire on reception was great though and accommodated us where she could. Would be perfect if we had a cool room.

Less than a minutes drive off the M5. Very comfortable room and very clean bathroom. Friendly staff with a nice meal in the bar in the evening and a really good breakfast the next morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Awful stay here - loud “music” prevented sleep

Our room, and the rooms of at least three other couples/individual guest/a family were not available at check in as they had not been prepared. We all waited far too long until they were available. Lack of staff may have been the issue. Eventually taken to a room and bags carried for us. Staff were apologetic but it wasn’t a good start. Room was nicely kept with a comfortable mattress. Air conditioning was a god-send in the heatwave. Dangerous toilet roll holder in ladies accessed from reception area. I cut a finger which bled some what a d was painful. Reception gave me a plaster but receptionist didn’t seem to care about the cause of the injury. Receptionist on check in struggled with my name, which I spelled for her in order that we might receive an invoice by email, but no invoice has arrived and so I guess she made an error there. The worse thing was the BOOM-BOOOM-BOOM heavy thudding music going on at the premises next door until almost 12:30 am at night, preventing sleep. Managed to catch about 4 hours sleep, which wasn’t enough. I would never stay here again. I’d rather stay at home or camp in a field.

Nice hotel in reasonable location. Very clean throughout. Air conditioning not working in our bedroom or any trade areas, but was working in our son's room. We were attending a party at the hotel and the number of staff on duty was ridiculous. 2 staff all night ment that half an hour queue at the bar did not change all night. They ran out of ice, then glasses. All this means that the business missed out on probably £2000 in trade over the bar just for tgd want of an extra staff member. I knew most of the guys at the party and I know most would have drank 15 to 20 pints given the opertunity, as they always do wherever we go. Breakfast was excellent in the morning.

It’s only an ok hotel, but I like it

I do like this hotel, it’s my second visit and I think I’ll visit again. The food is edible, it’s easy food, food that can be fried. Breakfast is ok, it’s edible, quality is not great but it’s still good. My room which was a deluxe, had a very noisy extractor fan in the bathroom, and the door of the bedroom needs to be adjusted as you really needed to pull hard to close. The WiFi is good when it works. Apart from this, the rooms are very nice, the beds are comfortable, the shower is lovely. The staff are friendly.
