Because you’re staying in a room above a working tavern the rooms are considerably smaller than normal hotels. But it was clean. We had everything we needed even though it was a tiny bit cramped. Staff was excellent. The bar and restaurant downstairs had wonderful food and very good service.

This is a cool place. Probably not for everyone's taste, it is a genuinely vintage rooming house -- a throwback to an earlier, simpler time. The owners live onsite and are extremely nice and helpful.

What a great place to stay. Owner Joesph and his nephew Jay greeted me at the front desk. Offered to help me with bags to my room. Took me to my room to make sure everything was good. Room was clean and well appointed. The onsite tavern was top notch with a bunch of locals. Lots of beer and great food. Book here and you won’t be disappointed. Gas station across street for quick fill up before getting on the road.

Super easy and quick check in/out. Room and furnishings are updated and everything was super clean! Ice cold air conditioning. Comfortable Sleep Number bed in our king suite! Coffee maker wouldn’t brew, not a huge issue at all. Everything was excellent, highly recommend!

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
This property may best support snowmobilers in the Winter, who are only seeking refuge from the cold. It ultimately seemed like a low staff issue. There was no front desk personnel upon check-in, as the young lady was also the bartender in the adjoining tavern. The ‘suite’ was home to a hodgepodge of random furniture, to include excess banquet chairs in the living room. The shower was barely large enough to close the curtain while using. There was random furniture in the hall, potential excess or looking to add to the interior yard sale. Checked out after one night, accepting the loss and cutting vacation short.

We called as we were arriving in late and it wasn't an issue. The room was clean and we appreciated the architecture and original appearance of the building.
