Fantastic quiet country location within easy reach of every part of the Dorset coast line and countryside.Extremely well maintained and cleaned property. The local pub serves a good range of meals and for shopping Bridport is only 10 minutes drive away. The only things you will miss by staying here is the hustle and bustle of every day life as you settle into the peaceful country location. Not a criticism but in our modern lives, we did miss the air fryer.

We had a lovely holiday at Sparrow in the late autumn.

We had a lovely holiday at Sparrow in the late autumn. It was very warm and cosy and we were chuffed that the bed was really comfortable and not overly soft and backache inducing, so we had some great night's sleep! Despite Covid restrictions and some little extras and comforts having to be removed we had everything we needed. The big windows meant it was lovely and light with great views. The patio area would be lovely for warmer weather holidays too. The cottage was pretty secluded which is what we wanted but there were pubs within walking distance and its just a couple of miles from a big supermarket and Bridport amenities if you want them. The cottage is also positioned in a good place for exploring the area. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We loved our time in the cottage and the dog enjoyed it too.

We loved our time in the cottage and the dog enjoyed it too. Beds comfortable, lovely powerful showers and lots of hot water, and well equipped even with the loss of some items due to covid. The freezer space was very useful as we had too much food to fit in the fridge. Great wifi reception (faster than at home) and good TV/DVD. The minor negatives were the fridge is very small and a coffee pot would be useful to have real coffee rather than instant. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Just what we wanted, a quiet cottage to get away from the fireworks with our dog.

Just what we wanted, a quiet cottage to get away from the fireworks with our dog. The cottage was spotless very well equipped and comfortable. Handy little information/games room that sold nice fresh eggs. This also had payphone which was handy as there was no mobile signal at all, but there was a good wifi available. Good village pub a couple of minuets walk away, very welcoming and serving good food.

Sparrow was ideal for us with aged parents and a dog.

Sparrow was ideal for us with aged parents and a dog. Well laid out and equipped, felt spacious and well equipped and we wanted for nothing for what was a wet week. Pub in the village was under new ownership and very friendly and both pubs down in Burton Bradstock were outstanding with excellent food. 5 minutes to West Bay and Bridport.

The cottage was excellent in every respect - clean, beautifully furnished and equipped, with comfort

The cottage was excellent in every respect - clean, beautifully furnished and equipped, with comfortable furniture and very comfortable beds. The onsite facilities were good and assistance when/if required was readily available from the onsite supervisor. We had not stayed in a welcome cottage before but if all their properties are as good as Sparrow cottage in Shipton Gorge, we would not hesitate to use their services again.

We enjoyed our short break in this pretty part of Dorset. Our accommodation at Sparrow Cottage was comfortable and well equipped. My only criticism and it’s a personal one is I like a bath sheet not a bath towel which are always too skimpy!

This was a very relaxing break with my two dogs.

This was a very relaxing break with my two dogs. Mark was great on arrival and they even sorted me some ice so I didn't need to find a shop. The welcome pack was greatly received along with milk in the fridge. It was lovely to know there was someone close by if I needed anything. A very well thought out well equipped cottage even down to a torch by the doior. The cottage was very warm and comfy. I would look to book this again with the family, or a friend or just me and the dogs again.

Sparrow is a tastefully decorated barn conversion with vaulted ceilings which have exposed timbers.

Sparrow is a tastefully decorated barn conversion with vaulted ceilings which have exposed timbers. There is access to a washing machine and tumble dryer which is very useful. The views from the window over the hills are stunning.Neil greeted us on our arrival and made us feel very welcome. There was a welcome pack with wine cake biscuits and tea/ coffee which was a lovely thought. The location is perfect if you want a quiet cottage but you are close enough to Burton Bradstock if you want to walk to the beach. A lovely stay- will definitely return again.
