From the moment we drove almost 30 minutes off the main road to get to the cabin, I was hooked. Enter driveway, see the cabin/ creek/ surroundings, I tripped and fell in love. Walking out to each waterfall, entering the well-appointed, insanely beautiful interior of the cabin - let alone the massive back porch, I never wanted to leave. We're actually looking at properties nearby. The listing says to have an AWD or 4WD, but my little Mini Clubman did just fine. It is secluded and off grid to the extreme. If you're looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is the place. I could only imagine it more beautiful (the loooong tree-lined roads and the actual property) in the fall two weeks later. Absolute perfection, and there wasn't a thing we reached for that wasnt there. The TV in the upstairs bedroom didn't work, but we were too exhausted from chasing waterfalls, sunrises, and sunsets all day to care. We actually crashed every night without TV! Only one night, a bear was rattling the trashcans. We thought someone was rattling the front foor. Remember where you are at night. You're SERIOUSLY in the wild. Don't go walking alone!
