At the heart of the penthouse is the open-concept kitchen and living area, where an oversized island seats six and a cozy gas fireplace creates the perfect place to gather after a day exploring Northern Michigan. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, full-size stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and island seating for six.

Doors off the kitchen lead directly to your private balcony—a comfortable spot for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or relaxing at the end of the day, with seasonal views toward Lake Charlevoix.

Designed for up to six guests, Sunset View features two private bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, plus an open loft sleeping area with a queen sleeper sofa and a third full bathroom. Overall great place to stay and less than 10 minutes from Boyne Mountain. Everything was nicely re-modeled and beautiful. Only issue we had was the oven was brand new and when we used it, it had a burn off which made the place smell for most of our stay. Also the closet on the main floor does not stay locked... unlocks by turning the handle. Also suggest a bed in the loft instead of a pull-out couch.

We really enjoyed our stay at the loft. It's been beautifully restored and more than met the needs of our group. The view from the deck with Lake Charlevoix in the distance is very impressive, and the restored exterior of the schoolhouse and grounds is top notch. Would definitely stay again!

Very cute restoration.

Very cute and clean. The loft was advertised as a queen and it was a pull out. Plenty of room for a bed instead. Needed some instructions for the door lock on the back of the door, more towels and the air conditioning was having issues. The manager had someone working on the ac problem. I would recommend and stay there again. They just need to tweak a few little things for a perfect stay.
