Great location and nice size, but... the bed was horrific! Perhaps the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. The sofa(s) were equally tired and uncomfortable. The gas cooker hob was seriously hard to ignite - requiring several matches and a lot of luck. Great shower though... The rental company were very helpful once we were in Italy but didn't really communicate before then.

Live like a local in this gorgeous apartment

Lovely quaint apartment only 10 min walk from the centre of Bologna (Piazza Magiore). The apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The double bed is exceptionally comfortable with a beautiful duvet. Plenty of space to store your clothes etc. The kitchen/dining/sitting room area has 2 couches and a table. There is a flat screen tv in the room (I think the photos still show an old fashioned one). There were no English channels but we connected an iPad to the tv via a lead we brought, so we could re-watch Rick Stein's long weekend in Bologna while we were there. The wifi is free and fast. The kitchen has all you need, kettle, sandwich toasted, fridge, microwave etc. The supermarket is a 5 min walk. Here you can buy lovely Italian wine for only €1.40 a bottle! There is also a deli in the supermarket if you want to try some local food. The shower was excellent and really warm. The entire apartment was lovely and warm (January). The agent for the apartment takes a €300 deposit on arrival - this was deposited back into my credit card a few days after we got back. She also charged a cleaning fee of €40 and a city tax of €9. All in all this was an excellent experience. I could not rate the apartment highly enough and I would go back in the morning!
