This unit is upstairs with free parking in front. This breath taking condo is located in an upscale neighborhood. This unit is in a quiet condo complex so is only suitable for ages 18 and up. You can just sit on the balcony and gaze at Lucky Peak and watch the sunset come down behind the foothills from oversized deck chairs facing the mountains. It provides easy access to hiking trails and even closer is the Boise river to float or fish or take a walk along the greenbelt. Perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts.

Surprise Valley is located adjacent to the famous Oregon Trail. Across the street you can access a public trail that runs along the base of the basalt cliff. Walk up the Kelton Ramp, a rocky old two-track where Oregon Trail wagons descended into the Boise Valley. Once on top of the rim, you can follow a trail that stays close to the rim, or several others on the flat portion of the Oregon Trail Reserve Park. On top of the rim, Boise Parks & Recreation has put up a number of interpretive signs that explain the history of the Oregon Trail, early gold-mining activity in Idaho City, and more.

The neighborhood is one of the best if you're looking to have a great time in the Boise outdoors. To the East of the home lies all the outdoor fun Idaho can offer, including mountain biking and hiking trails, lots of great fishing spots, boating, swimming, camping, and more. This is a must-do activity while visiting the area! Other outdoor activities abound, with the Boise Greenbelt for running, walking, or cycling within walking distance. There are numerous hiking trails nearby as well. Helen B. Lowder Park (10 minute drive) has free public basketball, pickleball, volleyball and tennis courts to get some enjoyable movement in during your stay. There are also several lovely golf courses in the surrounding area.

Bown Crossing, a shopping, dining, and entertainment hub of Boise, is also a short distance away. With fabulous dining and a public library, Bown Crossing is one of Boise's most desirable neighborhoods, due to the liveability and walkability of the area. The Idaho Shakespeare Festival, running outdoor shows in the summer and early fall, is a 15 minute bike ride or 10 minute drive away. Bring a picnic and enjoy Shakespeare, musicals, and other plays.

To the West of the home lies Downtown Boise, Boise State University, the Boise Bench neighborhood, and the Boise Airport- all within about 15 mins drive.

Looking to go farther out in the Treasure Valley? West Boise, including the Boise Town Square Mall, is about 20 mins away. Meridian lies about 30 minutes to the West, while Northwest Nazarene University is about a 40 minute drive away, with College of Idaho and Idaho Wine Country just beyond that.

Snowed in

We feel fortunate that we had this place booked when we did. An unusual amount of snow came down, clogging thile city. We were safe secure and well stocked up. So we simply worked read and relaxed.

The apartment on south Surprise Way

When we first got there we were unable to get the code to work on the door. Called and got the information we needed to get into the apartment. Once we got into the apartment we found the electricity wasn't working on the north wall of the apartment. No big issue, but when we called to report the problem we were told the repairman would be there within the next hour. We waited for the repair man for the hour, he took another hour to complete his work and at this point we missed the opportunity to see our new granddaughter that evening.

Fabulous Get Away!

Our stay was fabulous! From the reserving to check in, to the cleanliness, to being well stocked from kitchen to laundry, to the comfy beds, to the fab million-dollar sunrise and views, to all of the activities that are so close by, our stay was wonderful. Lots to do close to this wonderful condo. Nice friendly neighbors too! We were so lucky to be able to stay so close to our son's home who we were visiting! Did lots during his working hours, as well as his free time - 102 rim trail at Oregon Trail Historic Reserve (highly recommend this informative easy trail), Greenway trail in Bown plus pizza at Lucky 13 and yummy, creamy ice cream at The STIL and Fresh sushi at The Shack! Flatbread Boise is a great place for lunch too! We hiked to Lucky Peak, then went to the archery range and practice trail near lucky peak - we could see from our balcony, with the binoculars provided for guests, the ram on the practice trail!! Sunsets at Table Rock, wildlife galore including eagles, vultures, rabbits, quail, deer, and the coyotes at night, plus a dinner to remember at Cottonwood Grile for our 37th anniversary celebration! Golfing at Quail Hollow was tremendous with lots of challenges and fab views! Thank you to Ryan and Julie for being so available to us with quick responses to any questions we had. Can't wait to return!

Nice getaway with a relaxing view

Great place to stay that feels like it is away from things but still close to everything you'd need. The property managers are easy to work with and go the extra mile. I happened to have a broken foot when we stayed and though the condo is up some stairs, it was nice to have a shower that is very accessible and large. You can sit on the included bench with plenty of room. King size bed with adjustable memory foam was also a very nice touch. This was out second stay and we will return.

Beautiful views! Quiet neighborhood!

The views from this place were amazing! Having a small pond nearby meant we could see some ducks and hawk that definitely hangs out in the area. Across the way into the field there were deer as well as even further into the mountains. Binoculars were present which made viewing even easier. Very quiet area with nothing but the sounds of nature. A very easy half hour drive to downtown Boise. The place was very clean. Would 10/10 stay here again!
