The house was warm & inviting when we arrived as we did Xmas in the house. Plenty of private space for 3 small families. House had fireplaces to take the dampness out. A lovely tree was assembled. Hot tub was a treat for all of us while watching a colorful sunset. Hosts were very helpful & accommodating. Could not have been a better place for our needs! Even a winter bar que!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! The location couldn’t be better — spacious, comfortable, and a beautiful private beach. The expanded deck, hot tub, and new stairs down to the sand were amazing, and definitely worth updating in the photos because they make the place even more special. We arrived to a warm welcome with towels, linens, a highchair, and a pack and play ready to go, which made things so easy. The host was super friendly and very quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

Great cottage, great location. Water is gorgeous! Only downfall is 80 steps to the beach and then metal ladder to access beach. Harder access for grand parents and large dogs. Otherwise everything is perfect!

It’s a nice place with a great view of the lake, a great little sand beach, and a large property. The cottage is large and was room for all although a couple of the bedrooms were very cramped. We had a great time!

Bluewater Sunset Cottage is a welcoming spot for a family gathering. It was wonderful to be able to host our family at such a spacious comfortable cottage. The large yard and beach access were great for the kids. The open living area worked well for family meals. A great cottage overall

The cottage did not disappoint. It came as described. It was spacious, clean, and well appointed with all the furnishings and kitchen supplies one would need. Plenty of seating options inside and out, lots of lawn space for games, fires, and lounging; and of course the beach was beautiful with plenty of sand and a sand bar that was an accessible distance for children who swim well. An excellent choice overall.

Another fine stay!

A second time back to Bluewater Sunset and we had another wonderful stay. The cottage has everything you would want for a fun getaway! We love the big living room area with space for everyone and the huge dining table with plenty of room for everyone to eat or play games. The kitchen is spacious enough to make turkey dinner for a crowd! If I had to make a suggestion for improving our stay, we did find the beds quite firm and a little creaky as you move around. A small upgrade in this area would be appreciated. We did love the big new deck built our back and the steps that allow you to easily access the beach. We will be back!

Great Lake Huron Vista!

We loved the deck to sit out and enjoy the property! The private beach is a real plus! Spectacular sunsets! You just need to be able to walk down 80+ steps and climb down a steel ladder to get to the beach. If you are young or old this could be a challenge. We had hoped to have an outdoor fire but the fire pit was full of ash and with the current fires across the province we didn’t feel comfortable at this time. The kitchen is well appointed so you don’t have to bring anything. Good wifi! Close to Grand Bend for easy in and out and a lovely quiet neighbourhood.

Loved our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Bluewater Sunset cottage! The cottage is everything we were hoping it would be, spacious, well laid out, comfortable. The property is very large, and we imagined all the things we could have done out there, had the weather been more accommodating! 😉 The steps down to the beach seemed almost new, and the sunset was stunning! The beach was lovely, lots of sand. Beds were comfy, lots of bathrooms, big table for family meals and games. When I let our host know that the can opener and cork screw were broken, we had brand new replacements within a few hours. The only negative things were just very minor, and not enough to take away from the five stars. The cottage is in the need of some minor repairs (closet doors not hung, loose screws on towel rods, windows that don’t open, screen on sliding door off), but none of this was enough to mar our lovely time at the cottage.

Delightful stay on shores Huron for our family of 6 adults!!Cottage was sparkling. Kitchen was well stocked for any of our cooking, bbq'ing! Duo coffee maker/Keurig was a hit!Beds & furniture, inside & out were comfy. Spacious deck was a favourite gathering spot post beach, golfing @ White Squirrel or hiking Mavis/Taylor & Bannockburn trails time for hot-tubing, coffee, cocktails and/or local Bad Apple craft beer/Hessenland wine!Appreciated the clear communications about the sink issue. Plumber solved it & all was well. Guests could read the kitchen notice & use the stoppers to prevent foods&fats from clog-ups3 BR made life easy!! Showers were super! Appreciated the 2 level hand-held shower nozzle in basement BR...85 steps down to beach, 85 up was great training for us 60 folks. Cooling lake dips, gorgeous sunset walks on the warm sand beach made us appreciate those warm showers after!!Centrally located to Bayfield, Grand B, local wineries, breweries, golfing, hiking. restaurants, shopping...For those with mobility issues: 1 step up to kitchen, 1 step down to deck, 1 step up to communal 3rd BR. Once you're accustomed to it...it's a fun round-about to the handy 3rd BR & stairs to basement.2 bedrooms is basement are cozy&comfy. Loads of storage there & upstairs too. Upstairs ensuite is lovely too. Ladies appreciated the artwork & nautical decor touches here & there.Appreciated pet bowls & mat In conclusion, a happy place to hang your hat. We'd return.

Great Location! Great Spot for Family Time

We have just returned home from a stay at the Bluewater Sunset Cottage (5 adults /including a 92-year-old, and one dog) The cottage was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Entry instructions were clearly provided and we were very excited to arrive and enter! A welcome gift of a specialty coffee for us, and doggie treats for our dog were waiting for us! The cottage is well appointed with room to spread out indoors, and outside! The main living room is comfortable with a large-screen tv. There are two steps from the living room, to the bedrooms, kitchen, and dining room. The four bedrooms(two on the main floor, two downstairs) were all comfortable and clean. The one smaller bedroom on the main floor had two twin beds, with about 6 inches between them so things were tight but workable. The kitchen, while small, had everything we needed for our stay. The large dining room table was a great spot for shared meals at one end, and a jigsaw puzzle at the other end. The outdoors /backyard is huge... in order to get to the beach area, there are a lot of steps, but worth it if you make the effort. We did go up and down several times to explore the beach and collect stones! The backyard has several areas to enjoy and is a wonderful spot to relax with a book and listen to the birds. Bluewater Sunset Cottage is a very comfortable place, and in a great location - close to both Grand Bend and Bayfield/ Goderich... The team at Cottage Stays is so helpful---we really appreciated Jennifer's quick responses to questions and requests! This is a place we'll recommend to friends and family! :)

Pleasant experience

Probably one of the better cottages I've stayed at over the past few years. The beach is right next to the house as advertised and the lake is fun to swim at due to it being wavy. My only critique is the access to the beach is a bit tricky because it requires you to climb down a ladder.
