Sleep under the stars ( and maybe nothern lights) in a cozy bed without sacrificing the comforts of a modern and snug accommodation. Enjoy the outdoor hot pot to relax and admire the surrounding nature. Take advantage of the exclusivity of a fully equipped, tastefully decorated glass dome and a 60 sqm Icelandic cottage

Cottage

Beautiful typical Icelandic house fully equiped ( size 60 sqm - 650 ft2 ) sitting on a 10 000sqm land. In the middle of the golden circle. Close to geysir, gulfoss and þingvellir and located less than 1 hour from Reykjavik and less than 2h from Vík

Hot Pot

Big hot pot with geothermal water from the ground

Bubble

Glass dome of 16 sqm with queen size bed, feather duvet, electrical heating and heated under-mattress

Full access to the bubble, the hot pot and the cottage

You'll need a car to access at the accommodation

During winter ( november to april ), a 4x4 could be necessary for the last kilometer

The bed in the glass dome is only for 2. The owner will decline all responsibility if you book for 4 people and you have to argue with the other 2 people about who is sleeping in the dome :)

Please note that this is glamping. This means that although there is heating in the dome, if the outside temperatures are negative, you will not be able to heat the inside of the bubble to 20°C. But everything is planned for your comfort: heating, feather duvet and heated under-mattress.

Great, quiet place to stay

This cottage was a great place to stay while exploring the golden circle. It is in a very quiet area, away from city lights for a better chance to see the northern lights. The natural hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings and the unique glass bubble bedroom is just amazing! It’s set up well to keep you plenty warm at night.

10 year anniversary trip

My husband and I visited Iceland 8 years ago during the winter and we knew we would be back one day . Fast forward a few years and we were able to bring our two adventurous young daughters to experience Iceland during the summer . We had the most magical time exploring all the wonderful attractions from the location of the house . We loved everything about the house . The girls loved playing in the loft area with their dolls and talking to us while we were making dinner . Made many memories here ! We hope to be back in another few years !

A Fantastic Gem

This property is super well-appointed and truly exceeded our expectations. Its location is very peaceful and quiet while still being central to many of the golden circle attractions. The hot pot and bubble were super cool features. The owner was very communicative. Highly recommend this property!

Very nice cottage

We stayed here with our two kids (8 and 10), and had a great time. The bubble is nice and secluded, with a comfortable bed. The kids loved the hot tub. It is located a short drive (<30 min) from a lot of cool sites, including geysir, gullfoss, hrunalaug, secret lagoon, and more. Also decent places to dine nearby. Can recommend!

Our group stayed 4 nights in June. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Quiet peaceful area that is perfect location for exploring the geyser, waterfalls, Frioheimar greenhouse, Farmer’s Bistro (highly recommended if you like mushrooms), Skalholt Cathedral (has a BEAUTIFUL mosaic of Jesus), Kerid Crater and so much more. The bubble was so fun! We had 24 hours of daylight but had sleep masks. It gave us a unique experience that we were really hoping for. Nearby town tad a good pizza restaurant but they’re serious about people making a reservation. Overall our stay was amazing- we’d definitely go back and highly recommend

The property was located in the perfect location to be close enough to all spots in the Golden Circle but far enough away the crowds. The bubble igloo bedroom was the perfect sanctuary to view the amazing scenery, stars and of course two nights of amazing Northern Lights

Ideal family retreat

We are so thankful for Youri’s sharing this place with us! It was a delight for our family to stay here. The hot pot was such a treat. And the location out in the country side was so ideal - away from it all and yet so close to so many sights and adventures! We highly recommend the Farmer’s Bistro mushroom restaurant in Flúðir.

Perfect peaceful home from home

Far enough away from everywhere to feel private/isolated yet drivable to shop, restaurant, The Secret Lagoon, Geysirs, Golden Circle and longer drive to Vik. Wonderful hot tub was huge bonus. Lovely property

We really enjoyed our time in this property, the host were very helpful and their recommendation of a 4*4 was spot on. The house was very well equipped with lots of little touches like herbs and spices. According to my kids the WiFi was good, so a good time was had by all.

Cozy Country Cabin

We loved our stay at this cabin - it is a great place to relax as well as a hub for exploring the golden triangle. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the view is amazing. The hot pot is definitely hot!

Fantastic location and property

Fantastic property - cosy, great location and well equipped. Nice touch to be able to use Netflix and Spotify on the smart tv. Hot tub was fantastic and we used it every night. Very close to various sights in the golden circle. Highly recommended and can’t wait to stay again.

Incredible location and wonderful hot pot!

We're an adventurous family with a teenage daughter. Youri's place is wonderfully comfortable - our daughter was able to have her own upstairs space and yet we had plenty of room with the third bedroom - but also incredibly well located. Fludir (Secret Lagoon, Hrunalaug, great food) is ten minutes away and the Fridheimer tomato farm is literally down the street, next the N1 gas station! Bruarfoss, Fontana Spa, Kerid, all an easy drive, and great launching point for day trips out to Landmannalaugur, Krauma/Hraunafoss, even Skaftafell/Jokulslaron on a long day. Can't tell you how great it is to be OUTSIDE of Reykjavik in terms of driving. Stop at the grocery in Selfoss on your way there - Youri's place has an excellent, 100% equipped kitchen! Combine with great communication with the host, extraordinary view, and the natural hot pot every night - wow - a truly great experience! Brought our family closer together!

The home, the amenities, and the location are perfect. The hospitality of Youri, who visited us on our first day was wonderful and welcoming. I travel a lot and stay at vrbo and others.....this place is at the top of my list for returns and referrals to my friends who are traveling to Iceland in the next few months.
