Nature Lover's Paradise In The Driftless Area Of Southern Wisconsin, USA.

We are located on a hidden bluff at the end of a dead end road in the driftless area of Southern Wisconsin near the popular tourist destination of New Glarus, America's Little Switzerland in Green County Wisconsin.

The property is nestled in a stand of mature oak trees with rock cliffs, deer & turkeys grazing in the yard. It is a nature lovers dream!

The 2600 square foot 3.5 bath log home sits on 40 acres. The home features four spacious bedrooms with plush beds, a large surround deck in the tree tops, high speed internet & access to private walking trails that wind through the woods complete with limestone cliffs and pollinator prairies. The interior of the home is lined with pine boards that give off a pleasant aroma and add to the character adding to the cabin feel but the home is well appointed and has all the features you will likely need.

We are close to many communities like New Glarus, Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt Horeb where local festivals take place weekly throughout the spring, summer and fall. Take in a brewery tour or sample some fresh cheese at one of the many local cheese factories. Be sure to ask for fresh curds!

There is easy access to Yellowstone Lake State Park and Wildlife Areas with a host of other possible recreational activities including hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, boating. There is even hunting, in season and recreational shooting at a well maintained no cost range at Yellowstone Lake Wildlife Area.

This property was a very fun stay for our family with the kiddos! Great location for a day trip to Madison and also visited New Glarus. The kids had fun in the loft and everyone loved having their own spaces. It was great having access to a grill and we enjoyed sitting outside on the wrap around deck for a very peaceful evening. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay that’s within driving distance to some great spots. Also was very well equipped for infants and young children!

The property and cabin were both beautiful! Steve was awesome, he greeted us when we arrived and walked us through the cabin. It was a wonderful place for a family vacation. Some of our favorite parts of the cabin were cooking family meals in the well equipped kitchen, enjoying time on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings as well as walks on the marked trails through the property. This is somewhere we would definitely come back to. Thanks Steve!

Tucked-away perfection! Quiet, peaceful, and the fire pit made for the dreamiest bonfire nights. Pro tip: the basement is sweater weather, the loft is a mini sauna, and the main floor is juuust right—so pack for all seasons. The host? Absolute gem. Lovely Quiet Remote Home

There was enough room for my large family to sleep and eat. It was very private and quiet as there are only cornfields and trees surrounding the property. The host was very helpful and friendly. There was not a swing set as pictured, but the kids had fun playing in the loft.

Adorable country home with a full bathroom for everyone! Large kitchen table for the whole family. My only complaint…is that the TV room had no AC and only a love seat and two chairs. Our family loves to end the night with a family movie and there was no place to sit us all and it was really hot in there. The TV had very basic cable and none of the movie apps worked. The host was wonderful. Other than that it was lovely. Bring DVDs!

Perfect Home Away from Home

We had a wonderful stay at Nature Lover's Paradise! The home was exactly as described — so clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have needed. This is the place to enjoy peace and quiet, no neighbors parking in front of the driveway or loud music blasting thru the window. You are at the end of the road, only neighbors are wildlife, Steve and his family about a quarter mile away.The beds were more comfortable than our own. Steve went out of his way to do everything possible to make our stay perfect.

Great cabin!

Beautiful Wisconsin countryside, property is secluded with a great gravel path for kids to ride bikes on, a perfect short private approximately 1 mi loop hiking trail. We had two young families present, eight kids six and under. The basement, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and upstairs. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms was perfect for us. The kids were more than occupied with the loft play area and playing around the house. Wrap around porch allowed easy line of sight as needed.

Family Easter get together

We had a family gathering for Easter. The house was wonderful for that. Lots of spaces for different activities. The kids, and by that I mean young men, really enjoyed the upstairs. Hiking the trails was also very popular. The kitchen was well equipped and large enough for several people to be working at the same time to prepare our Easter dinner. We would stay again.

Girls' Cabin Getaway Weekend

This cabin was perfect for what we needed! We had 6 adults and everyone had their own place to sleep with room to spare and enough bathrooms and showers. We loved walking the paths on the property and playing cards on the poker table in the loft. Steve was so kind and informative and we liked knowing we could easily contact him if we needed anything.
