Lovely hotel and grounds, although extremely busy with a wedding, baby shower & birthday lunch. Bedrooms nicely furnished & food good. Considering the Christmas package with friends

We only had an overnight stay, lunch was lovely, rooms were may available earlier for us. Good nights sleep, bathroom was big and clean. Breakfast was expensive for what was available, asked for a croissant but was told they had all been eaten.

Lovely stay despite challenges

On arrival reception staff tried hard to find a suitable room for us. My friend has mobility issues and the main house has no lift. A room was found in the West Wing which does. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities very welcome. Unfortunately, although the bathroom was large with double wash basins my friend was unable to use the shower which was over the bath. She used the showers in the spa for the duration of our stay. There was a good choice of breakfast hot and cold food and beverages, in pleasant surroundings, with friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend but be prepared if you are visiting with friends or family with limited mobility.

Receptionist told us we had to walk up two flights of stairs as no lift. However there was a lift she obviously has not been shown her way around. However she was very pleasant just lack of training
