The staff was very nice. Wasn't crazy about the room's floor plan. The placement of the desk doesn't make sense. I know it is to divide the room but the pole at the end of the desk cuts off the view of the TV and the placement of the couch is also odd. Other than the floor plan, my stay was good.

Eggs at breakfast were inedible. Oatmeal and its add-on’s were very good. Didn’t try a waffle, but a waffle press was available. Urine on bathroom floor on arrival; janitor came quickly after we reported it and effectively cleaned it. Elevator didn’t work temporarily. Staff polite and helpful. Property has been refurbished, but shows some age. Outstanding location for Kirklin Clinic. Publix two blocks away.

Nice hotel overall. Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean room. Breakfast had several options available. Parking is an additional daily charge in a parking garage next to the hotel. My only complaint was the elevator issues. Only one was working and the hotel was full so this made getting up to our rooms difficult (we were on the 6th -top floor). We heard from staff the elevator issue had been an ongoing problem for several months and at times both elevators were down. Glad that was not the case during our stay.

Very welcoming. Trudie help us so much. My husband is in a wheelchair and we were there for an appt at UAB. She went out of her way to help us. She helped carry our luggage to her room and also provided information on restaurants and even helped me download a delivery app for DoorDash. I appreciate that type of concern so much especially when you have a sick loved one and you’re the only caregiver. Thank you so much Trudy and Springhill Marriott. We are a frequent flyer there and will continue to stay there on our visits.

The staff member at the front desk was very nice. The room smelled like cigarettes and there were ashes everywhere. There was ranch dressing and food spilled on the tables and the floor was filthy. There was something that looked like toothepaste smeared across the carpet, and they definitely hadn't washed the counter at all. If it hadn't been so late when we got there, I would not have stayed. We slept for a few hours and got back on the road. I woild not stay here again.
