IHG have got it just right

Good stay in a hotel that provides a reasonable quality breakfast, comfortable air conditioned rooms and excellent shower room. Needs a little tlc from maintenance crew. Staff attentive and very friendly.

Noisy this time

Unfortunately I was on the 3rd floor overlooking the car park which backs onto a dual carriageway and it was noisy, ambient background of almost 40db All it needs is secondary glazing fitted to all road facing g rooms for much quieter results and happies customers

Good for an overnight stay when travelling up nort

We stayed here for an overnight stopover as we had visited attractions in the Birmingham area whilst en-route from the south coast of England to Lancashire and due to its location, close to the M6. My wife is in a wheelchair and only has one leg so we booked an accessible room. However, it could only be described as partially adapted as there was no walk-in shower only a bath with shower over, which she could not use. In the bathroom, there was a lot of grout missing from the floor tiles, which needs sorting out. Overall, the room was very large with plenty of space for manoeuvring the wheelchair and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was OK, not the best quality, but it was included in the room price so all in all very good value.

Friendly staff

Hadn't realised that they don't have restaurant open on Sunday night. Open Monday to Saturday. Luckily we'd had a Sunday lunch. Bar was pretty busy so I'm surprised they didn't sell snacks, sandwiches, cakes etc.
