Solid place to stay. Secure onsite parking. Easy walk to groceries & town. Also, has breakfast option. Stayed in room #7 which was a upstairs unit, seemed roomy enough, nicer bathroom both with plenty of natural light & views. Charming old building with many artifacts in the halls & decorating the walls. 3 nights in early-September 2025. Negatives: Larger Bath towel had some stink in it when wet, while the smaller hand towel was properly clean. Missing towel rack in the bathroom. No daily service provided, which is subjectively a + or - for this length of stay. No USB ports. Positives: Check-in was easy, there's even a bathroom right adjacent the front desk (in case you need to go). Lot's of onsite free parking. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Nice view. Water was hot. Roomy Bathroom with full tub & adjustable hand held shower. Standard coffee/Tea & a kettle with a nice added touch of Hot Cocoa pack good for four mugs worth. Silverware/ceramics were clean. Check-out was easy, just drop the keys off.

It’s not good

The place was very dated and desperately needed decorating. Rooms are tiny, wasn’t given any clean towels, no WiFi and couldn’t get signal on the tv. Only decent thing is that the bed was relatively comfortable

Stayed in room y this visit. Shower/ bath water only ever lukewarm. Also toilet seat is loose. Its the only room where i haven't had decent hot water. Also bedroom window cannot be closed but secondary glazing minimises thus problem

Location was great for us, property was quirky and dated. Beds and bedding were clean and comfy. Hotel had hot showers, shower gel and tea, coffee. I’ve stayed at this property many times over the years but unfortunately this will be my last visit. We booked a double room to find one bath towel provided, no hand towels, tea & coffee sachets but no kettle. The bed was pushed up against a radiator on the wall. The mattress was soft and old. The room badly needed redecorating and smelt of cigarettes. The windows were old and unsafe. There was no Wi-Fi and they are no longer serving breakfast. It’s a quirky old hotel that is in need of a refurb to compete with nearby modern hotels.
