Merlindale Holiday Apartment es parte de una casa de campo victoriana ubicada en 16 acres de hermosos parques junto al río Tweed. Tiene su propia entrada y plaza de aparcamiento y es muy tranquilo y pacífico en medio de un paisaje impresionante. Se acaba de actualizar y renovar a un estándar muy alto y se le ha otorgado un grado de clasificación de 5 estrellas de la Junta de Turismo de Escocia. Tiene capacidad para 4 personas muy cómodamente y consta de, una habitación doble con cama king size, una habitación doble, amplio salón con estufa de leña y área de comedor, cocina bien equipada con comedor y cuarto de servicio independiente y dos baños. El salón es grande y tiene una mesa de ping-pong disponible para uso de los huéspedes. Todas las sábanas se proporcionan junto con calefacción central, agua caliente, troncos y artículos de tocador (Highland Soap) y un paquete de alimentos que contiene pan recién horneado, mantequilla, té, café, leche, mermeladas, cereales, huevos de gallinas camperas y galletas Border.


Comentarios .: Hemos estado abiertos desde la temporada 2007, pero los invitados que hemos tenido van desde parejas hasta familias. Se ha elogiado la calidad del alojamiento, se ha admirado la ubicación que es hermosa, los jardines y la privacidad también han sido aclamados.

beautiful large flat with very welcoming host

This is a large flat furnished with everything you need for a holiday. The host is friendly and proactive, and she provides enough food for your first day and first breakfast. The countryside setting is beautiful and extremely quiet. Highly recommended!

Lovely, large apartment great for exploring the Scottish Borders

Owner was very helpful when I found myself in need of a doctor. The apartment is incredibly spacious and the welcome basket very generous. In a somewhat isolated area so it was really quiet and peaceful.

One of the best

We have stayed in many properties over the years and this is definitely one of the nicest. Set in a beautiful area with wonderful views, it is a spacious and very well-appointed apartment where everything you could hope for is provided including some delicious supplies. The hosts were so helpful and made us very welcome. We only stayed three nights as we were visiting family but would love to return for longer and explore the area.

Comfortable Base in the Borders

Very well equipped for four, with separate entry to our flat in the original servants quarters at the back of the house. Enjoyed the table tennis opportunity! Excellent location for exploring the western Scottish Borders and day trips further afield.

Taste of the Scottish Borders

Had a wonderful stay at Merlindale while visiting family in Drumelzier. Denise was very accomdating and made our stay perfect. The complimentary breakfast supplies were appreciated. Spent most nights curled up on the super comfy couches with a roaring fire ehile our older kids played ping pong making this trip very memorable and look forward to returning soon.

Lovely peaceful break

We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay at Merlindale. The apartment was very nice and fitted out to a high standard. We enjoyed days out visiting the local towns as well as Edinburgh which is only 1 hour away.

Property is as described. Quaint and peaceful. You do need a car to get around as mentioned in the listing but the area is very scenic and pretty. You can easily unwind with nature for a few days and it's also close enough to Edinburgh and Glasgow for to drive (just short of an hour) if you'd like to visit. Would recommend.

Scenic and comfortable stay at Merlindale

This is an exceptional apartment in an outstandingly beautiful area. The accommodation was extremely spacious and well-equipped/furnished and we had everything we could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. The provision of breakfast basics, tea, milk etc. was greatly appreciated, as were Denise’s helpful texts with suggestions for things to do, walks, etc. Above all, we loved the grounds and the surrounding countryside. As we were in the Peebles area for a family wedding at Neidpath castle, we were frequently out and about on errands, but we made a point of walking along the woodland path in the grounds each day and enjoying the peace and quiet sitting on the bench at the end. On a couple of occasions we were also able to try out one of the suggested country walks a little further afield. We also had a lovely morning at the botanical gardens at Dawyck. We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed some spectacular sunsets from the living-room window. Merlindale is an ideal base, to which we hope to return and explore further.

The property is very quaint and cozy. The grounds are stunning, with so much greenery and even some wildlife! Birds, rabbits, squirrels, deer, etc. The included amenities (washing machine, full kitchen, fireplace) all made us feel all the more at home. I cannot recommend this property enough for anyone looking to experience the Scottish country side!

Great place and great location , if you like to fish it is a dream.One of the best rivers in the world just a two minute walk. Denise could not have been any nicer and looked after us and we will definitely be back in the near future 😌

The apartment was as advertised. We appreciated the welcome pack and the essentials. The place is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. It had everything needed for a restful stay. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable bed after our hill walks and trail runs. The washer & dryer was a huge bonus after the wet outings. The place is perfect for a family or sharing with friends, we would love to revisit and explore the rest of the hills in future. Thank you Denise.

I couldn't find fault with the welcome and facilities. It is a peaceful relaxing place but plenty nearby if you want more activity. A thoughtful collection of useful groceries was most welcome. Lovely getaway - Confortable apartment

We spent a lovely week at Merlindale apartment. It was very well equipped with the bonuses of a Table tennis and football table for my two boys, plus the football goal outside in the garden. A very spacious and lovely place. Very confortable beds and all the basic essentials left on arrivals were a lovely touch. Communication with Denise was fantastic and we were given lots of tips about places to go. Great location and we loved the surrounding area. Thank you! FANTASTIC SELF CATERING APARTMENT IN THE BORDERS

Lovely self contained ground floor apartment. Home from Home.Every detail has been thought of from comfortable sofas, beds and toiletries. Especially nice was the breakfast food pack on arrival. Excellent communication with owner all via text due to covid.
