We really enjoyed our stay at the Sadleback Inn. The hotel is adorable - quaint and comfortable. You can't beat the location. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator but that was not a problem for us. We would definitely stay there again. We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant, although they were out of the wine we chose to go with our dinner. Fun place to stay - small room but had everythng we needed for a lovely stay.

The property was beautiful and rustic. Loved the little cabins. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast included was a nice addition. The only bad thing was the shower head...absolutely no water pressure.

They advise you in their website that there is karaoke on Tuesdays and Fridays and you can hear the music in certain rooms. Saying you can hear the music is an understatement. It was so loud it felt like the karaoke machine was in our bathroom. Awful. The mattress was not very firm and somewhat uncomfortable. The breakfast that is included is about what you’d get from a motel chain: institutional scrambled eggs, bland home fries, and sausage. Not what you would expect at a quaint inn. We did not get our moneys worth.

I prefer this hotel to all others in arrowhead. It is a great mountain experience. Rustic, clean and most convenient.

The hotel was okay, nice little cabins. We booked a five night stay for our anniversary. Unfortunately on the second morning we received a call that my father had a heart attack, we had to leave. We informed the front desk we needed to cancel the rest of our reservation and would like a partial refund. They would not provide us with one. Not very good customer service.

Trout Classic

Overall experience was EXCELLENT 100% Friendly staff, cozy clean cottages, and a quick stroll to the village. Would definitely love to come back soon.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

Pros: The staff was fantastic - friendly and accommodating; the coziness, the history and comfort of the property - everything!
Cons: They need to add a couple pillows to the king sized bed. There were only two. There were two more in the room that were needed for the sofa sleeper.
Location: The hotel is right across the street from Lake Arrowhead Village where there are shops, restaurants and lake tour on the Arrowhead Queen boat.
We once lived in Lake Arrowhead for 3 1/2 years and although we passed by it every day, had never been to the Saddleback Inn. What a wonderful surprise! My husband, myself and two sons stayed in a one-bedroom suite /cabin with a sofa sleeper in the living room. It was ideal, with a nice living/ dining room area with a fireplace, a good sized separate bedroom and a huge bathroom with a 2 person jacuzzi tub/ shower. It was private, surrounded by trees with a front porch and overlooking a lovely gazebo and fountain. We ate dinner and breakfast at the beautiful, old restaurant. The food was excellent (it was fried chicken night)! The restaurant setting is very romantic. This is an historic property, built around 1919. I can't wait to go back and spend more time there in the future.
