Sol y Mar Villa: Exquisite four-bedroom villa high on a hilltop in Mt. Irvine, Tobago, West Indies with truly panoramic views from the back patio of lush vegetation in the distant hills, and from the front patio and pool deck the Mt. Irvine golf course, white beaches, the Caribbean sea and Buccoo Reef. The perfect location to enjoy the Caribbean in a very relaxed way. Enter via the remote controlled gate with visual monitor inside, drive up past borders of fragrant frangipani and ixora, until at the double, covered carport you enter...

Inside ... A Visual Treat! A 3-storey high living area featuring two upper level lofts. One serves as an office if desired. The spacious living area is comfortably arranged with modern furniture, and the finely furnished dining area can seat ten to twelve. An ultramodern kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave oven and two standard ovens, a 5-burner gas cook top, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator/freezer. There are four spacious, sloped high ceiling bedrooms, each with ceiling fan, an en suite bathroom with shower (one with free standing brass tub), makeup vanity and mirror, hair dryer, and quiet, remote-controlled split system air conditioning. Each room has a small safe.

What a holiday!

Spacious, well appointed, super-comfortable, ideally situated to collect the light breeze from hills and to watch the Tobagan sun blazing its crimson path at sunset; 5 minutes from beautiful beaches with hummingbirds joining us for breakfast and fireflies dancing in the woodland each night.. our stay at Solymar was bliss! And with the wonderful Stacey, Rachel & Carlos beaming away as they looked after laundry, house, terraced garden & pool we lacked for nothing. It was a wonderful 2 weeks: thank you for sharing your magical family holiday home with us - we would love to come back!The Cameron family

Family Vacation

We had an amazing time. Our housekeeper treated us like family. The view is breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay. Stacey made some of our meals for our group and it was delicious. She can do a lot of local dishes eg pelau, coconut bake etc. just send her your menu and she will accommodate but keep it local.

Great Property and Excellent Service

Service Experience: From the moment I booked until my last day, Larry and Stacey were outstanding. Their service was excellent, with impeccable response times. They were incredibly nice and accommodating, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. The Property: The house itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The outdoor area is gorgeous, featuring a lovely pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. The property was clean and provided separate quarters, offering a sense of privacy for our group of nine. Feedback: My only suggestion would be to update the property with fresh paint and newer appliances, as well as modernizing the bathrooms. Despite this, the house was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely choose this house again when I visit. Hopefully, it will be renovated by then! 😊

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay at Sol y Mar. The house keepers came by every 2 or days to mop and sweep the house. And when you're traveling with kids, this is super helpful. The house is very open airy, super spacious that even with 7 ppl, it didnt feel cramped at all. Beautiful breath taking views, the birds on mornings, def gets the day off to a great start. I will definitely stay here again. No regrets just much love and appreciation for the staff and all they did for us.

Lovely house and house keeper. Great view, very clean. Rooms were spacious , however the air-conditioning weren't as effective in chilling the rooms on hot days.. everything else was great.

This place is magical. This is my second time coming here with my family and we absolutely love it.

Everything felt so seamless from the transportation from the airport to the home to the service you get from the house staff. My family and I felt safe All the time, and will be visiting again in the near future. The owner Leslie has a great team working for him and I have no doubt that anyone that visits this Sol Y Mar will fall in love. My 9 year old daughter openly calls Sol Y Mar her 2nd home.

The villa Sol Y Mar was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was perfect and what a wonderful view of the ocean and Nylon pool to wake up to everyday. The villa itself was so well equipped there was nothing we wanted for. We were comfortable in every aspect and we loved sitting on the back porch in the evening with our mosquito candles, although none of us were troubled by the bugs. Pool and Jacuzzi were terrific and we passed many hours lazing in the pool. The staff at the property were so friendly and accommodating that it made our stay even more perfect if that was possible. Thank you for sharing your villa it really is a piece of heaven and we were sad we could only stay for two weeks, it was not long enough!

Everything was smooth runnings from Ms. Stacey checking us in who was the housekeeper and giving us the tour and rules and regulations. The house was beautiful, the layout was great, the pool and jacuzzi were awesome and both with excellent views. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Would definitely recommend, not a bad price especially if your traveling with a group. I would most definitely stay here again next cool down carnival.

Memorable family Christmas holiday!

We chose Sol y Mar for our family of 9 adults because of the outdoor gathering spaces and for its plentiful bedrooms and baths. We thoroughly enjoyed our family time outside by the pool. The birds were amazing-several kinds of hummingbirds, chachalacas, the Trinidad motmot and of course bananaquits were spotted, surprisingly no mosquitoes. The view from the gazebo out over the ocean made for great sunset pictures. We were thrilled to watch the nightly arrival and feeding of the nectar loving bats! Stacey greeted us and made us feel at home-stocking the refrigerator with a few staples upon our arrival and checking in/housekeeping with us daily. My only complaint would be that the Jacuzzi never got warmer than luke warm and that was very disappointing to me. Overall would highly recommend-lots of space to enjoy family. Thanks for a memorable Christmas holiday!

Our stay was quite relaxing and enjoyable. The bedrooms, the kitchen, the pool, the jacuzzi, the view from the gazebo!! All aspects of the villa made for a very comfortable stay. The staff was also warm and welcoming and very helpful. Everyone in my family from the oldest to the youngest enjoyed every minute of our time there. Wish we could have stayed forever!!

Beautiful Villa perfect for a group of friends

Loved the location, central to everything we wanted to do. About 10 minutes from Pigeon Point and the Tobago airport, I would recommend a car rental to be able to explore freely. Very clean, beautiful pool and hot tub, very safe location and helpful staff. It was a dream vacation home, hope to be back in the near future.

Perfect!

The house was perfect for us (a family of 7 adults). The pictures on VRBO adequately showed the external parts (pool, fantastic view etc). The inside was even better than the pictures; great kitchen with all the things you need to cook, 5 bed rooms (each with bathroom), nice living area. The manager (Stacey) was perfect and so was the other people maintaing the house. If there was one thing we possibly missed it was a dining area outside - there are nice chairs etc but to be able to eat outside in the evening would also be nice.
