Chateau Merlot es una casa de vacaciones espaciosas y acogedor perfecto para varias familias o grupos grandes. Ofrece 3 dormitorios y 2 baños en la planta principal y 2 dormitorios y 1 baño en la planta baja. El nivel principal es impresionante, con ventanas de piso a techo y una cocina de concepto abierto, comedor y sala de estar, 3 dormitorios y 2 baños de tamaño completo. El salón tiene una hermosa chimenea de leña de leña, asientos cómodos y un conjunto de puertas de patio que se abren a la cubierta wrap-around espaciosa con una parrilla de gas y juego de patio. El nivel inferior tiene una espaciosa sala familiar con una chimenea de gas que se abre a otra área de cocina completa. El nivel inferior también tiene una lavadora y secadora, una sala de hidromasaje, una mesa de futbolín, 2 dormitorios, 1 baño completo y una sala de estar grande fuera de la sala de estar perfecta para quitarse todo ese equipo de esquí / snowboard. We had a very nice week with family. Great location, with many things to do within an hour drive. We enjoyed several nights by the fire and breakfasts on the deck. Very close to Ironwood making it easy to get supplies when we needed.

Great Place for famiies or group of Friends

We had a fantastic stay at Chateau Merlot. Absolutely Loved having a large space for our group to hang out with a REAL Fireplace, sauna was way better than we anticipated. It was the perfect place to relax after skiing at big powderhorn.

Great group space, well stocked

We had a group of 12, including a couple of kids. The bedrooms were set up great to have both families and couples have their own space that fit them well. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. it’s always hit or miss and we were very pleased with all the available resources. Communication from the owner was great. We frequently stay at a different place each year but the group agreed this was on the list to stay at again.

Another Great Weekend!

This was the third winter we've had a group up to BPLA for a ski weekend, all three places we've stayed so far have been great but Chateau Merlot definitely takes the cake! Very cozy, lots of space for our group to unwind after a day on the slopes. The sauna was phenomenal!

Fun weekend

Great Labor Day Weekend!

I give Chateau Merlot 5 stars, and you will see real stars at night sitting at the bon fire! We lucked out with the weather, but if we had to stay in the place was clean and has such a friendly atmosphere.. My friends and I are planning to come back next year. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Great friends weekend

We had a great weekend with a group of friends. There were 9 of us, but could have comfortably fit more people. The kitchens were fully stocked and had all we needed for the weekend. We would highly recommend this house and hope to come back again next year!

Girls Trip

Chateau Merlot This chateau is amazing and exactly as described. Very spacious yet cozy. We’re repeat renters. We stayed 5 days. It’s summertime and had perfect weather. We enjoyed the wonderful deck every day. Enough tables and chairs for our whole group to sit & relax, play games, share meals, fresh air and just enjoy nature! Great view from inside. It’s very accommodating, clean and comfortable. Open concept for the kitchen, dining area and living room. Great for keeping the conversations going. Kitchen was fully stocked, had everything we needed for cooking, serving and eating. Main level has 3 bedrooms, comfy beds and 2 full bathrooms lessen any wait time. Only regret was not making time to use the new sauna. Although July isn’t skiing season, there were many activities available to us. The chateau is also not far from Lake Superior and many breathtaking waterfalls. Looking forward to our next visit!!

Family Ski Trip

We came to the UP to ski but unfortunately there was very little snow on the ski hills. But no worries there was plenty to do between exploring the many waterfalls just down the road to gathering around the fireplace at the Chateau to play games and watch movies. The house has so much space that our group of 12 was never crowded. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. But the amount of cookware & bowls could be down sized and better organized. The only issues we encountered were the extra plates we grabbed from the downstairs kitchen were dirty and we couldn’t get the tv to work beyond spectrum channels. Better Instructions would be helpful. We ended up just casting to use the apps off an iPhone to watch movies. We were pleasantly surprised by the Christmas tree & great decorations!! Loved our time here! We will be back! P.S the laminated guide for the area was fantastic!

Nice location to relax

Peaceful and in a wooded area. There was no kettle to boil water for hot chocolate/tea. Enjoyed being able to eat outside on the deck when the weather was nice.

Nice stay

Location of rental was nice. Close to many summer activities and cute towns. The rental accommodated a rental party if all adults comfortably. The basement (with bedrooms) was musty and mold was a concern. A dehumidifier in the basement would be nice. We opened the windows for fresh air. The kitchen was well equipped and was large enough for us to cook and eat all our meals in. We did not use the sauna so no review on that. We had what we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. Thank you 😊
