It was a clean and nicely upgraded hotel. What I especially liked was its excellent location — right in the heart of Bergen. It’s also a big plus that the airport limousine stops directly in front of the hotel.

Convenient stay in Bergen

The standard room is as expected, if a little dated. We only had breakfast on one day as we decided to eat in bakeries in the town however the breakfast offering was great (if not a little expensive). Nothing to complain about but there may have been better value for money stays in the area.

It is in walking distance to many tourist attractions. There are so many places to eat and shopping near by. BTW, the parking is super easy. Our room is clean, quiet and comfortable. Very nice.

Amazing location, nice room and communal areas in the hotel. Strange lack of any hanging space or drawers in the room except a couple of hangers on the wall, which is fine if you’re only staying a couple of days but tricky when staying for longer periods.

Our room was clean and the climate control and WiFi were fine. However, the beds were way too soft. The bathroom was fine with two exceptions: (1) No wash cloths for bathing were provided, as some to be common in hotels in Europe but is not something that is missing in hotels in the US. (2) a non-slip mat needs to be provided for seniors using your tubs for showers. It is very easy to slip and fall on that slick tub surface. However, the most shocking thing that upset us is that we were charged 690 NOK (~$69 US dollars) to have 2 men’s pants (slacks) washed and dried (not dry cleaned or ironed). This is an outrageous charge and I would urge any customer to NOT use the hotel’s laundry service. The hotel should provide laundry equipment (washers and dryers) that customers can use at a low level charge.
