When we booked, we chose a room based on what the actual site for the hotel shared for a 3 sleeper. It is an older historic building that has been renovated, so we did expect some variations of rooms. The first room we received had a great water view but the ceiling had low ceiling slants that were impossible for my tall husband to move through without hitting his head. The second room offered was extremely small where we couldn’t move between beds without hitting someone’s feet and one person could not see the TV at all. The third room was bigger but had only under the bed storage for bags with the clothes (no closets at all). Plus, no phones in the room at all to call the front desk. The staff was super helpful to find a room that would work but if that wasn’t available, it would have been a tough 10 day stay. I would confirm the room and ask for one with a desk if you want space to move around. The brunch is extra but was wonderful and worth the money. Again, staff was AMAZING and very helpful! Just be aware of room space variations and lack of storage for clothes. Great location and very safe and clean.

We had a refrigerator that didn't work. They offered ice. Would think they could have replaced the fridge or offered a discount, neither of which happened. That was disappointing 😞

GREAT HOTEL & GREAT LOCATION

Stayed for 4 nights in May 2025 – Excellent Experience Great location, excellent value for money, and the rooms exceeded expectations for the price paid ( It is expensive in Bergen ). They were clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet – it felt like they were soundproofed, which made for a very relaxing stay. The breakfast was a real highlight. We've stayed in some 5-star hotels, and the breakfast here was genuinely on par with them, thanks to the wide and high-quality selection available. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Overall, a fantastic stay – I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to others.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre, by the harbour with everything at a walking distance. The room was very clean, breakfast had a lot of variety, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent central hotel. A bit of a lack of general public space like a proper lounge was only factor in taking a star off. Room was a little small too but entirely functional. Staff were absolutely great- very helpful and friendly.
