The rooms are a short walk to Citta alta. The bus is there at the end of the walk. Rooms are spacious with forest views. Ideal for a restful few days. Easy to spend full day in citta alta. If you wa to go further then car suggested. Host Cristina is wonderfuld could not do enough for us

Lovely place, lovely host!

We were welcomed by the host, Cristina as soon as we arrived. Since it's located higher than the old town, we walked down to the old town without funicular. We had dinner at one of the restaurants that Cristina recommend and it was very good. We were driving a car so the room with free parking was a big plus. Our room was huge and had a balcony. The breakfast was very good too.

Cool, 17th century house in original condition! If you're looking for a modern hotel room, don't look here. If you want unique, interestingly and one of a kind, I Ghiri is for you! Christina is a very gracios host, and the location is perfect for walking into citta alta. Very enjoyable!

Lovely b&b. Good location

Really nice setting. Quiet mostly although some traffic as you would expect. Lovely breakfast. Rooms were spacious. Only a one night stay but relaxing.

Bergamo old city is just a few steps away.

This is a unique older home, well kept and spotlessly clean. It would not work for those with mobility problems, but we loved the stairs and the upper story character. The only drawback was the shared bathrooms, but two bathrooms for three parties was not a hardship and they were sparkling clean. The generous European breakfast was a bonus. We loved walking out and poking around the passages of the old city, a walk back in time. Nice restaurants and shops that had grace and appeal added much to this delightful destination.

Amazing location with warm and caring hostess

Cristina is a great hostess! EXCELENT location with or without car! Breakfast very generous made with love. THE ROOM WAS VERY TASFUL, large and cozy with a very nice balcony. I highly recommend it!

A wonderful find in Bergamo

The B & B is located on a quiet, tree-lined street that seems secluded and that was great. Yet, it was a short walk to all the activities in the upper part of Bergamo and close to many restaurants.

Genuine Italian Hospitality

I can only re-iterate previous guests positive comments, B&B I Ghiri provided everything we needed from a B&B. The location was excellent, a pleasant and easy stroll to the old town, dedicated off street parking, good security and use of the kitchen/dining area, should you wish to make a coffee/tea or even prepare yourself a meal. Spacious rooms with good free wifi, comfortable beds with good pillows and nice linen. The shared bathroom, 2 bathrooms for 3 rooms was not an issue and they along with all areas of the B&B were spotlessly clean. To top this off we were served a substantial and varied breakfast, prepared by our host Cristina who could not have been more pleasant and helpful both before and during our stay. We wish Cristina all the best and would have no hesitation in recommending B&B I Ghiri to other travellers.

Lovely B&B run by very friendly and helpful people

Lovely, clean B&B in the upper town and not far from the main sites (10 minute walk). There are 3 rooms (one twin, one double and one family room) and 2 bathrooms, all on the top floor of the house. The landlady and her family live in the rest of the house. Sharing the bathroom was not a problem.

fine accommodation, VERY clean. located just outside old city walls, making for an isolated setting. finding local restaurant choices required walking a distance into city centre. kind proprietor, even taxied us to bus station for departure. very reasonable rates.

Il Giri was in a fantastic neighborhood for walking and Christina, the owner, was truly a delight. She went out of her way to help make our stay outstanding, but also gave us complete privacy. I would recommend this B & B to anyone who wants a quiet getaway from the city with access to everything.
