Amazing property! My wife loves animals. We got to pet and feed the horses, goats, and donkeys. There were also dogs, cats, and turkeys on the property. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a getaway away from thr big city and all the noise.

Our stay was fine. There is an overall smell of cat pee and several stains on the furniture. We felt like we were being watched by the owner and animal caretakers. We were scolded for driving too fast down the driveway and immediately started to be more careful but the owner continued to give dirty looks. The house is nice and we enjoyed visiting with the rescue animals.

Stayed here while visiting an ill family member. Chose this place because I felt it would be relaxing and peaceful. Brought my family member here to decompress. The house is beautiful and the property is beautiful. There is a beautiful lake right outside the windows of the living room. There is a trail to walk on where you will see butterflies and dragonflies. There is a beautiful natural waterfall. In addition there are animals including horses, goats and donkeys that you can feed. Definitely a little paradise.

Incredible Experience

We traveled to Benson to have a birthday celebration with family from Raleigh. The minute I saw this place on VRBO, I knew it would be amazing. The home was absolutely beautiful and well appointed. The views of the lake were picturesque. From the time we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by Jerry (The owner) and his staff. What an incredible sight to see. So many beautiful animals were rescued by him. Animals that others either discarded or abused. My husband and I tried to help out as much as possible. We helped do therapy with a goat that cannot walk. It was such an uplifting experience to see him stronger and stronger each day. We also gave the dogs, cats, horses and donkeys treats every day. I can't thank Jerry and his staff enough for their warm hospitality and welcoming us into their lives.
