Lake Como offers some of the most suggestive urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures, Bellagio stands out, The Pearl of Lario, a village of just over 3000 inhabitants at the northern tip of the Triangolo Lariano, where the two branches of the Lake divide.

Among the most fascinating aspects of this village are undoubtedly its enchanting villas, celebrated throughout the world for their splendour and their meticulously maintained gardens. Among the most famous is Villa Melzi, with its 18 km of roads and paths in the garden and its works of art, and Villa Serbelloni, now a study centre and conference venue of the Rockefeller Foundation which features a wonderful garden. The historic centre, with its numerous small shops located along narrow stepped alleyways, passages and porticoes, is renowned throughout the world and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied, you can visit the different lakeside hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the summit of Monte San Primo, reachable via a dense network of paths and routes for lovers of trekking and nature. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by ferry to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como.

The apartment is 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Orio al Serio airport.

The villa had all the amenities we could require. It provided a very comfortable and homely base to stay. However little things like a broom was broken and the coffee machine didn't work should not happen.

Loved Bellagio

Great house. Great space both indoors and outdoors. Great location. Each bedroom with its own bathroom. Perfect for family of 4 or 5. Lack of A/C tough when very hot. My suggestions would be some window covers (so easier to sleep in) and get some nicer outdoor furniture so guests can take better advantage of the 2 terraces which are quite lovely.

Liked: Location
It is a good house in an excellent location, but unfortunately, it is poorly maintained. When we arrived, the garden looked somewhat neglected, and the two wooden sun loungers were in quite poor condition. We had to request that the garden be attended to. We also had to ask for the house to be cleaned and for the bed linen and towels to be changed after eight days, even though we were staying for a total of fourteen days. One of the bedrooms had only one clothes rail, positioned approximately 2.5 metres above the floor, making it impossible to reach. There was no alternative place in the room to hang clothes. The house was also missing some basic items, such as ice-cube trays and a toaster. A toaster was eventually provided during our stay.In summary, it is a good house with considerable potential, but it needs more care and attention. This is particularly disappointing given the price charged, which would have been justified if the property had been properly maintained and better equipped.
