Enjoy the "WhaleComeHome" in Ship Bottom on LBI, an open concept, 2nd floor beach house apartment. This tastefully decorated newly renovated upstairs apartment featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and a bar for entertaining.

The exclusive private fenced backyard has an outside living area with grill, dining table, a fire pit with polywood Adirondack sitting area and a newly installed outdoor shower. Located just one short block to the beach and one short block to the bay where you can enjoy both breathtaking sunrises and sunsets every morning and night!

The primary ensuite has a king bed. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. The 3rd bedroom has a full size bed and a twin size bed.

The off-street parking can park 2 cars.

Weekly booking only during the summer season(Independence Day-Labor Day), change over day is Saturday. Like most Jersey Shore rentals, we don't provide linens and towels during the summer season.

Off season, minimum stay is 2 days, no restricted check-in or check-out days, and we also provide linens and towels when you stay off season.

8 beach badges, 6 beach chairs, 3 beach umbrellas , 1 beach buggy and 1 huge cooler are included.
We provide almost all toiletries(shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash and body lotion, etc.). We also have enough pillows, blankets and comforters for every room.
We also provide seasonings, cooking oils, utensils and plenty dining ware in the kitchen.
Detergent and softener are also provided in the laundry.

Repeated bookings will get 10% discount on nightly rates.
Off season(June and September are not included), stays of 3 days or more will get 5% discount on nightly rates, stays of 7 days or more will get 10% discount on nightly rates.

Only one discount may be applied per stay.

We had such a great experience. The home was exactly what was pictured. It was clean, lovely and every detail was thought of. Ivy was available when we had questions and always answered in a timely manner. I also want to say that I left my wallet there with a bunch of cash. Ivy reached out to tell me and went out of her way to return it. We loved our time in her lovely home and would definitely go back! It was the perfect weekend.

We stayed for a weekend wedding and it was plenty of space for everyone. It had great amenities like a fire pit, outdoor shower, bar, etc. Many restaurants and other things to do within walking distance. Would stay here again!

this is by far one of the best vacations I ever had!!!!!the place was absolutely beautiful and very, very clean.I have been renting in LBI for over 30 years, and I have to say this place was one of my family favorites. there was plenty of living space for the whole family and so relaxing.the back yard and decks were also a pleasure to relax on. Close to the beach and bay side. watching the sun set was gorgeous to watch, and best of all. we didn't have to drive anywhere. everything was in walking distance. I give the place a solid 10 in my book. I highly recommend this rental !!!

Best VRBO Experience

I’ve used VRBO approx 20 times have had almost exclusively great stays. This one however was simply the best. The unit is clean, immaculately clean! The location is superb for the beach, fun activities: mini-golf, shopping, best jelly donut on earth and many other cool local attractions. That said, I y the owner was the easiest most accommodating owner I have ever dealt with. She is like family now! I cannot overstate how awesome our stay at WhaleCome Home was! Rarely do you find a shore place with so much outside space. The fire pit, grill & furniture were great. We had space to set up corn hole. Inside was fantastic, too. I forgot cinnamon, but they had it! Sounds weird, but the bidets were a big hit & topic of discussion. We cooked and cooked and cooked - knives were sharp, lots of cutting boards. We couldn’t figure out the ice machine, but ice from an automat across the street was available. Deluxe donut shop 2 blocks away.

A Real 10

Our family is made up of Mom and Dad 70 years old. The kids, 40, 38 and 33. The grand daughters, 8 and 11. The home could accommodate all of us however not everyone could be there the same time due to other commitments/work etc. AS previous LBI homeowners, and now renting for the past 7 years this was the nicest home/decor and provided by far, everything you could possibly need, except sheets and towels (so we did not need to take all our cooking spices and beach equipment) it was all available. The quality of furnishings and appliances was superb. Laundry room just outside the main bedroom was a great feature.a beautiful fenced in private yard had everything to spend the afternoon and evening outside, barbequing games etc.The outdoor shower was very nice and excellent water pressure. Location was 1 block to the beach and 1 block to the Jet ski's and the bay. Sunrise and Sunsets from the deck in in the front and back of the house.The home is just beautifully decorated and beach themed. Access to many restaraunts, shopping of all types within walking distance and the Supermarket/ACME is just a few minutes away by car.One of the MOST exceptional features were the Hosts. Ivy has gone to great lengths to welcome their guests and make the accomodations a favorite you will remember for a lifetime. Kindness personified, extremely knowedgeable and experienced in real estate and providing the 10 out of 10 experience you were hoping for. We loved our 2 weeks.
