The room is decorated very nicely and super clean. I prefer a less firm mattress but others might enjoy how firm they are. The chairs in the room look nice but are not comfortable for sitting and watching TV. The microwave and fridge in the room were handy and I appreciated the available coffee supplies and toiletry items. Bayfield is.a highly popular tourist destination which is likely the reason for the room rate. I appreciated the backyard, chairs to sit outside, outdoor lighting and access to a walking trail. This property overlooks the lake with stunning views but is not down at lake level and no direct access to a beach. But you can walk it quickly drive to restaurants, bars and attractions. Checking was easy using a QR code in the lobby or they mentioned texting info but I didn't receive that text. Pay attention to your room choice as they have many options and I missed that ours didn't have a kitchenette but we managed with fridge and microwave. All in all a nice place to stay.

Super cute clean cottage with beautiful surroundings tucked in the woods with a view of Lake Superior. Lots of plants and landscaping .plenty of room for a family with all the amenities. I will return! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I wanted a place to stay that was walkable to the shops in Bayfield. All the reviews indicated cleanliness, however, this place was really clean! Comfortable bed and easy walk to town. Our room was updated and really cute. There are no frills here-but if you’re looking for a convenient, Clean place to stay, this is it.

Only issue were the blinds don't block out the sunlight so sleeping in isn't easy, low flow shower heads. The room we were in was next to business laundry and was loud in the morning. It's a beautiful place and location is ideal only issues were the ones described.

We didn’t get a queen size bed. It was a twin size.
Twin size but you can see our receipt we suppose to get a queen size. We paid for the queen size so we didn’t get what we paid for. Not so happy about it.

We enjoyed the overall stay. There were lots of nice things to use in the office such as a sound machine. The only thing we didn't like was that since there wasn't anyone in the office checkout and in a a little awkward.

The hotel is located right by Lake Superior and there is a path to walk along side the lake, which is very nice. The checkin and checkout are more or less self service and convenient. One thing that makes me rate only 4 rather than 5 stars is that I think there are some extra charges in addition to what was shown on expedia when I booked the room. That was a little surprising. I feel that the pricing should be more transparent, since obviously we choose hotels based on a variety of factors one of which is price.

Beautiful trail behind the motel that you can use to walk into town. Rooms were clean and we had good service when we needed help with the tv remote. The outdoor chairs looking over the bay were a nice touch. Bed was not the most comfortable one I’ve had in a motel. Nice fluffy towels were great!

The cottage at Seagull Bay

The cottage was very clean and cozy. Less than 5 minutes from the quaint downtown. While not on the beach there were beautiful views overlooking Lake Superior. The steps were a touch steep to the loft, so not for the physically challenged. 2 beds in loft with plenty of pillows. Plus 1 cozy bedroom downstairs. Full kitchen minus a dishwasher. Great quality towels. Coffee maker, microwave, dishsoap, hairdryer, soap and shampoo in the unit. We didn't need anything else they had in the office to take back to our cottage. 10 a.m. check-out was our only challenge. Check-in is a 3 hour wi fow but we didn't run into travel problems so that was a nonissue. We would stay there again when we go back.
