Arrived late, tired and with no other option or would NOT have stayed. Reeked of bad weed before door even opened, then smell of mildew entered the competition for worst smell. There is NO excuse for Marriott to continue to operate this dated, worn, FILTHY property. We were given key to wrong room so saw twoā€”both gross. We were there appx. 10 hours total and never took our shoes off. Had we not been traveling with older person who had to get break from travel we would never have even seen the roomsā€”everything about it said ā€œGET OUT NOWā€. Canā€™t comment on breakfast because thereā€™s no way we would eat anything from there. Seriouslyā€”believe the reviews that say it is OLD, NASTY, STINKSā€”thatā€™s what the truth sounds like! We have sworn off Marriott properties because they clearly have rock bottom standards now! BOOK ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!

The staff was so friendly and helpful! We arrived four hours early and they were able to help is find a room available so we can get settled to go out and do things in the area. The pool looked very clean and even had rafts available to use. The hot tub had little to no water and was very dirty but thankfully we weren't planning on going in it. The exercise room had complimentary waters and towels to use which I find very rare in hotels. The room itself was very cozy but the shower we didn't want to use due to the wall falling off where the shower head was. And the front rooms TV wouldn't let us play our nintendo switch without the volume being in 100 and we couldn't fix it...so we never played any games. And the front tv wouldn't connect to the free wifi provided to watch netflix. The bedrooms tv worked well though so that was a plus.

It was clean just needs to be updated badly. The refrigerator kept drinks cool and that was with it being turned all the way up. Bath tub needs decals in the bottom because of it being so slippery. Overall it was nice. The staff was very nice and very accommodating.

Outstanding Customer service

We booked last minute and arrived before check-in. Our room wasn't ready but they upgraded us to a larger room. The customer service was outstanding and the room was very nice. We will stay here every time we go to Baton Rouge.

This is a very dirty and musty place. I wish I could post pictures to show you what I am talking about. The vinyl on one of the chairs is peeling off. The couch had dirty spots. I was even afraid to brush my teeth with the water. I do not recommend. I will never stay there again.

A little disappointed

The hotel is a good place to stay. It needs updated furniture replacement. The seats where to eat were old and peeling. It was pretty warm in the room area. I had to open up the door to the bedroom area to get some air. The refrigerator didn't have a handle. The back door to the back of the hotel where I parked was broken. They had a towel at the door to prop it open to get in and out.

This hotel was overall great, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating when it came to us asking for a late checkout so we didnā€™t have to go sit at the airport all day. It is in a very convenient location, definitely walking distance to a lot of places to eat, sightsee and just wonder around, there was always scooters available so that was amazing. I would rate our experience a 10/10, we will definitely be back!

Uncomfortable

The front desk attendant was great! The hotel, not so much. There was an odor as I walked down the hall to the my room. The smell resembled that of something (like a rug) that was wet and aged. When inside my room, I was very uncomfortable with the thought that this is what I have to sleep in. It was an old room, old furniture, and just uncomfortable. After a few minutes, I went back to the front desk and requested another room. The attendant was great and gave me another room immediately. She was so kind. I went upstairs to the 2nd floor and entered the room only to find the same discomfort and a whole in the curtain in the bedroom. I immediately went downstairs and told the attendant that I will not be staying at this hotel because I am uncomfortable. I thanked her all for all of her help and then I exited the hotel.
