We had a great stay! Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, rooms were spacious. Slippers and robes and plenty of toiletries available were a nice touch! Location was walking distance to the beach and tons of dining options, area felt safe even when arriving late. Breakfast was 15 euro per person and had a great selection. Overall had a great stay!

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Love that the floor in the room is in marble and not carpet. It is beautiful, VERY clean and staff is very friendly. The location is amazing. Will certainly be coming back !

My stay at Via Laietana in Barcelona

Overall the hotel was ok. The staff were very friendly, helpful and approachable. The TV in my bedroom only had Spanish channels. I was expecting the hotel to have different channels as it's an executive hotel. I asked if i could have some English channels added to the Television, the engineer came had a look, went away with another remote then disappeared never to be seen again. Secondly I had to call reception at night as my air conditioning was blowing hot air, the receptionist tried to fix it but brought a table fan.

Lovely breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed. Great location! Oh, and lovely reception staff. Drainage in the shower and sink in my bathroom was not great which meant the shower overflowed. Also quite a noisy road, but earplugs worked brilliantly!

It is an ideal place to stay if you can figure out the trains and buses. There are lots of stops located around the hotel. It is a very brief walk to the Cathedral, and if you're a Rick Steves fan, the start of his 2 walks for Barcelona are within a 15 minute.
