A nightmare

This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff was rude and didn't care about the people staying there. The A.c. unit was not working, I couldn't get any rest because the room felt like a sauna. Two thumbs down.

Run down

Pros: For the most part, the staff was friendly and helpful. There was one desk person who seemed to not want to bother with us, but everybody else was good
Cons: Renovate rooms.
Location: A few blocks away from the Baltimore Convention center, and a bit further than that to get to the harbor. Also football/baseball stadiums.
The hotel was pretty badly run down. My room had wiring hanging from the ceiling, and my co-worker's room had a window AC unit with plywood around the unit that didn't fit properly, exposing gaps to the outdoors. The carpet was torn in places. The air conditioner requires you to insert your key card into a slot on the wall in order for the unit to operate, which means that your room will generally be too warm when returning to it at the end of a day away from the hotel, and make it much more likely that you'll forget to take your key card with you when you leave. I forgot my key card in the slot on the second day of my stay, which meant that I had to obtain a new one from the front desk (on the bright side, the room was still nice and cool when I returned).

WORST hotel I have stayed at. EVER.

My fiancé and I decided to stay another night in Baltimore because of the long weekend for Presidents' Day. I came across this hotel at a fairly okay price. Well, when we got there to check in, it turned out that they decided to put us in a room with 2 double beds instead of a king room, which is what we had paid for. After talking to the only person at the front desk, I was told that there was nothing he could do and that we would have to wait till the morning to talk to the manager or go some place else. So we stayed. It was our only option at the time. since they offer no parking and we already paid to park our car over night a mile or so away from the hotel. we entered our room, I might as well add that it looked like someone had previously tried to break into this room by cutting away at the outer most wall, which left a huge gash between the wall and the door. When we entered. The two beds were seperate. And because the left wall was pushed out a foot farther than the right wall, we were unable to push our beds together to sleep. There were also stains on the chairs and pillows. Along with blood stains all over the towels. When we looked outside of our window into the dirty nasty alley below, you could see the big rays scurrying down below (that was the highlight of this hotel room). After a long sleepless night, because our neighbors kept getting into screaming matches. We walked our but down to the lobby where we were supposed to talk to our manager. no manager.

What a mess

Pros: Staff was apologetic.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Not a bad walk to the inner harbor.
Arrived at the hotel, found broken glass next to the bed. Tried to leave, found on the lock on the door did not work. Was moved into another room with one king size instead of the two beds we'd reserved. No cover on the light fixture. A/C never cooled down the room to the set temperature so it was an uncomfortable night sleeping.

Prepare to walk

Pros: NA
Cons: maintenance of the facilities
I checked into the hotel at about 4pm and was given a room on the 7th floor. I was then told that the elevator was not working so I had to walk up the stairs to get to my room. I am in decent shape so that is not a difficult task but a hotel that has that many floors should have a working elevator at all times. When I arrived on the 7th floor it smelled very bad. I was prepared to go back to the clerk and demand a refund but when I entered the room it did not smell. The bathroom door in the room would not close as it did not have a latch on it.

Stay if you don't scare easily

Close to the inner harbor and downtown and the front desk staff was really nice. BUT overall I wouldn't stay here again ever due to the condition of the hotel. I was scared to sleep in the bed as the sheets were wrinkled like someone had slept there and they just remade the bed. There was a knife hole in the lampshade and duct tape holding the mirror together. They aren't even trying to pretend this room is clean. I'm not fussy by any means and normally would walk barefoot in a hotel but not this place. The other reviews talk about no AC or the elevator not working, which actually wasn't the case- that to me is not a big deal. If it was clean I could totally deal with anything else.

Must be Better Choices

Pros: Proximity to Inner Harbor.
Cons: Needs a Massive Makeover to get it into the 90's much less 2015. Loiters outside needs to be brought under control if not removed.
Location: 5-8 Minute cab ride to 90 percent of the inner harbor. Itersection to the west is straight shot to Penn Station 5-10 minutes in 9:00 a.m. traffic.
Right out of the gate there is a Bus Stop 10 feet from the door of the hotel, convenient maybe for locals but weeding through the crowds of "people" just to get in and out is a major pain! Not to mention the loiters it creates. Air conditioning for the room never got below 77 degrees, woke up sweating in an 84 degree room asked for it to be fixed twice in 3 days. Corner shower is unuiqe to say the least, don't plan on having you elbows out to wash your hair. Doors kept falling off the tracks. Floors are all wood laminate with very long dips and rises you feel with every step. Apparently 1 maid for five floors sheets changed once during the week same crude on floor day one was still there when I left on day four. Front desk was polite and ready to help but deveral were asian that spoke very poor english. Learned an important lesson that week I hope I never repeat.

It was in the harbor but that's about it

The bathroom was dirty. The ac didn't work. And the elevator was a little broken. And the bed was squeaky. I wouldn't say here again

A nice, small, convenient and affordable hotel.

Pros: The hotel was very well located in the center of Baltimore, and the complimentary breakfast in the lower lounge was nicely stocked and presented.
Cons: The bathrooms need to be upgraded.
Location: Very accessible to public parking, and all tourist amenities.
I stayed for a few days while attending a conference. The room was adequate and nicely appointed. While clean, the rooms were somewhat dated.
