Overnight stay. Close to centre of town so an easy walk around the shops. Restaurant had a good menu and staff very friendly and helpful. Wednesday night and restaurant was full so this indicates the popularity and quality of the hotel.

Check in at the pokies bar was a bit unusual and there was no obvious signage on the exterior of the building to indicate it was the Mitchell River Tavern. Also, the lack of a lift to our room upstairs was an inconvenience for bringing in luggage.
