"Mariner's Terrace" is a soundfront condo with the most amazing sunset views across the sound from a covered deck. Just a 5-minute walk to the beach. 1 BR condo (check sleeping options below) with full well-stocked kitchen and full bath. Additional private seasonal outside shower. Walkable to restaurants, ice cream, bar, and shopping. Just 1 mile from Avon Pier.

Arrival Check In time is 4:00 p.m. (often earlier)
Departure Check Out time is 9:00 a.m. (in mid and high seasons)
(Negotiable arrival and departure times if not booked especially in off-season)

Queen bed with pillow-top mattress in bedroom.
There is also a pull-out twin sofa in the den and a queen inflatable mattress.

HEPA covers on all pillows and mattresses.

We try to be somewhere between a hotel and rental home so we provide sheets, bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, shower gel, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 trash bags are provided to get you started.

2 beach chairs are included. Bring your own beach towels.

Covered parking underneath unit available on a first-come basis. Otherwise, outdoor parking.

You can walk across Hwy 12 to the beach. It is only 3 blocks away. Avon has a Food Lion and Ace Hardware just 2 miles away. And plenty of other beach shops and restaurants are also available.

High-Speed WIFI and Cable/Roku TVs in family room and bedroom.

Trip Insurance is highly recommended for Hatteras Island.

No Pets allowed except service animals.

Hubby and I have stayed at several rentals over the years. We have very high standards and this one checked ALL our boxes:- great location/amenities- close to shopping, restaurants, etc.- extremely neat and clean- phenomenal outdoor deck/seating/view- excellent checkin/checkout/resource info- owner is extremely responsiveAlso, we loved that it was located on the sound side of the island because it was not as windy.The icing on the cake? This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. On our last day here, we were discussing the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" which was filmed locally. We joked to each other asking what are the odds this this movie is part of the rental's DVD collection. Lo and behold it was! So not only were we able to watch it for the first time on our last night here, we also drove by the property before leaving town. So cool!Mike's thoughtfulness in his choice of DVD's resulted in an Outer Banks memory that we'll cherish forever. :) We highly recommend this property!

Booked last minute for a Fall getaway. The Condo was great and extremely clean and comfortable. The view from the Balcony was beautiful and so great to be close to grocery store. Avon is our favorite area of the Southern Outer Banks. Mike was very communicative due to weather conditions the beginning of the week which could have affected our stay but luckily didn’t.

Our hosts attention to detail was outstanding from booking to departure. Mike was easy to get in touch with and was quick to respond. From explicit instructions on how to locate the condo to how to use the tv and Wi-Fi nothing was left for you to guess. The unit is very clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Don’t forget the views at sunset over the sound. Truly amazing. Plan to book again!

It was perfect for what we needed! Bed was comfortable and plenty of room in bedroom for suitcase etc. We didn't use the kitchen, but anything we could have needed was there. Most importantly- it was clean!

Just our size!

This cute condo was the perfect size for my husband and me. We stayed for 3 nights and met up with our niece, nephew, and his wife, who rented a house nearby. It can be difficult to find a 1 bedroom rental, and this condo fit the bill. The condo was as described in the listing, and was very clean and well stocked. Communications with the owner were timely. We particularly appreciated the beautiful view of the sound while sitting on the balcony. We did not get to enjoy the nearby pool and tennis courts, but maybe next time!

Avon Sound Sunsets

The owner Mike was extremely friendly before, during , and after our stay. Up to and including mailing back a charger we mistakenly left behind. The other guests around us were a bit loud, but we enjoyed having a weather protected balcony to sit on in any weather. The Froggy Dog Pub was in walking distance and Food Lion was close by.

Spring Getaway

The property was as described. It was very clean. There were a lot of dishes, glasses and silverware. The place was close to everything that we wanted to do. My husband purchased a permit to drive on the beach to fish. He caught a lot of croakers. We had great weather. Mike was very responsive and checked in on us. The only negative thing was that the condo had a bit of a musty odor to it.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed for a week and couldn't have asked for a better location or space. Quiet sound side views. It was clean, tastefully decorated, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of extra towels, washer/drier, and conveniently located in Avon. Owner responded quickly to all messages. Wifi worked well. I'd definitely stay here again.

Mariner's Terrrace Getaway

Wonderful stay! Awesome property! Perfectly clean! Would give it 10 stars if that were an option. Very comfortable with all the amenities needed for a marvelous stay. Beautifully decorated. Fantastic view. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the pelicans, cormorants, and gulls as well as the jumping mullet. Mike is an excellent host! This is our second time staying at Mariner's Terrace. Definitely would stay again.
