Walking distance to everything. SkyCity tower next door, most tours offer pick up here or very close by. Very safe, upscale area. Lots of food choices nearby. Wasn't offered any room upgrade or food credit that I can remember as part of the VIP benefits.

Great hotel stay with awesome service. I came here for a weekend date with my partner. We had an issue with our TV, but they fixed it within ten minutes. The only complaint was that the pool had clear diving rules that were not being followed. Unfortunately, a family present didn't seem to care and let their kids dive and bomb into the pool. This ruined the vibe for a lot of people, including us, when we were at the pool. I think it might be a good idea to have a staff member enforce these rules to ensure that other guests' experiences are respected. Otherwise, place age restrictions at specific times.

Because of the way our itinerary played out, we literally were only there for 9 hours. So really can not comment much other than thankful for desk manager for checking us in quickly while dealing with an issue another couple were having.

We had a view of the Sky Tower, very awesome! The location is great in the middle of the Sky City restaurants and casino, next to the Sky Tower. Clean modern room, comfortable bed, all the staff were outstanding!!

We arrived mid morning at the Auckland airport. We decided to travel straight to The Grand Hotel, arriving there at 10 am, to request if they could hold our luggage while we explored the city and to await our room to be available. To our surprise, the room was available and we were able to check in early! This was definitely a huge bonus. We also had the breakfast included with our reservations. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The property is very nice and up-to-date. The pool is worth looking at, even if you aren't a swimmer. ;0) Highly recommend this hotel for your stay downtown Auckland.

Our favorite hotel in Auckland

this was the best hotel we stayed in throughout our whole adventure in New Zealand. Next time this will be the only one! It was beautiful and clean. The fuse were amazing and it was in the center of town kid walk everywhere you need to go.
