Apartment Top Charco Sea Views with Terrace By PVL
Apartment Top Charco with Sea Views and Terrace: Apartment Top Charco is so good located that you won’t need a car unless you want to explore the island. the apartment is located right in the center of Arrecife next to the calle real where all the shops are located and within walking distance to the new marina. Besides this are a lot of tapas bars and restaurants in less than a minute from the apartment. The Apartment Top Charco has a big terrace with sea views, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, Living room with sea views, kitchen well equipped and WIFI. The island's capital since the second half of the 19th century, Arrecife is the administrative and commercial center that is home to over half the population. A marked seafaring character combines with the appearance of the defensive fortress and its present function as a services city devoted to commercial trade relations. Founded on the basis of expanding overseas trade (through the port with greatest facilities and interchange of products such as salt, onions, and fish) from its well-known Muelle de la Cebolla, known today as Puerto Chico or Muelle Chico, it passed in scarcely two centuries form being just a collection of small warehouses for loading and unloading merchandise in the immediate vicinity of the port to become the main nucleus of the island. It takes its name from the collection of reefs (Arrecife), islets, and small volcanic rocks which stand off its coastline and hinder access and landing. Charco de San Ginés Once inside the town its marine status is clearly reflected in its streets and old quarter, in the transit and transfer of goods arriving from other ports an in the professed devotion to its admirable patron, Saint Ginés. We have, too, the presence of the curious rock formations formed by the mantles of lava in their quest for an encounter with the sea. We can note the marked growth of the city as it gradually became an urban services center - features all that define the capital's identity. The city is host to shopping centers, numerous specialized outlets, gift shops and a number of small outlets which sell their own products and fancy goods with careful customer attention; it is thus easy to find an extensive range and great variety of products, whether of local artisan origin or imported from the most unlikely international markets, as the special status of the islands. means that imported products from any country in the world can be bought at the keenest prices. Bandstand at the promenade In addition to its role as a tourist shopping center, Arrecife, is also of interest for the coastline itself, with its variety of islets and reefs which have arisen out of the lava flows along the coast, alternating with defensive castles built for protection against corsair-such as the Castillo de San José, now converted into an International Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Castillo de San Gabriel, linked to the capital by Puente las Bolas bridge. Finally, one of the most frequently visited tourist attractions is the Charco de San Ginés, a sort of lake formed by the entrance of seawater and surrounded by small fishermen’s houses, besides was built the former hermitage of San Ginés, which has today become the Church of San Ginés.

The apartment is in a fantastic area we had no problems with the apartment. Unfortunately our holiday was ruined by road works right outside the apartment for the whole 15 nights access was limited in and out also water off for a whole day with no notice. As this was planned works we feel we should have been notified and given the option to cancel.

Unbelievably stressful check-in
Couldn't get a response from the property manager despite trying for 4 weeks before our arrival. Not one reply from 5 emails sent asking a genuine enquiry.
Even VRBO couldn’t get a response from the property managers.
Everything is done through the booking app including door key PIN number - this was only sent to the app after the check in time on day of arrival and then the WRONG PIN was sent and still no answer to us phoning the emergency number.
Eventually we had to send a message via WhatsApp which I don’t actually have so I had to download it! God knows what happens if you break your phone before arrival, you’d never get in to your accommodation- this was unreasonably STRESSFUL & the thought we had been scammed was obviously present as we could not get a reply once we had paid.
The apartment was very spacious but furniture delapitated, roller blinds not working, bathroom fixing rusty and crockery chipped.
Water good & hot. don’t know about TV channels as we didn’t use it but the Wi-Fi worked very well.
The property was cleaned before we arrived and the cleaning fluids used caught your breath the entire 3 night stay so that was uncomfortable and the strong smell made it hard to sleep.
Nice views but residential neighbours in same apartment block were very noisy & in the evenings it was noisy as the bars & restaurants below are extremely busy.
It took 12 days & 3 emails before our deposit was released despite being told twice it was already done - won’t be staying again

Fantastic view
The property was nearly five star, what let it down was the sofa needed a good cleaning also the outside side area old dead plants were just left there which would not have taken long to sort out , other wise all good excellent Wi-Fi and we love the view.

Great location overlooking the marina, with easy access to great restaurants, cafes and shops.
Great location, lovely sunny balcony where you can watch the little boats come and go. The flat had everything we needed, with a supermarket only minutes away, and plenty of good places to eat. Bear in mind that some restaurants and shops close on Sunday (and some also on Monday). Eat at Barbacana if you can, it's well worth it.

Bel emplacement
Très bon séjour, manque des petites tasses à café et le canapé aurait besoin d’un bon nettoyage
