Because of it's privileged location Casa Ristretta and Apricale offer you the best of both worlds. The hussle and busstle of the Cote d'Azur, South of France, and the much slower and charming pace of live in a tradional Italian hill village. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the village or villages nearby or the beach with it's seaside restaurants, only 20 mins away. There is a little grocery store for all your basic needs, and a newsagent. There is free WIFI in the village square and in Apricus Osteria and bar, which are great places to spend time anyway.
Casa Ristretta, has been restored to it's former glory but today's comforts were added. It has a large bathroom with bath and walk in shower and travertine marble tiles.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed, lovely vaulted ceiling and one wall shows the original stone work. The kitchen is well equiped and has table and chairs, although I think, most time would be spend on the covered terrace, with table and chairs, 2 lounge chairs and a Weber BQ.
Please bear in mind that Casa Ristretta is a traditional Apricalese village house, tall and narrow and there are therefore quite a few tall steps in the house, as there are in Apricale itself.
Apricale and it's surroundings is a walkers paradise, the area is totally unspoilt.
There are lots of things to do and explore, with Menton and Monte Carlo as obvious towns, but lots of lovely villages to, Rochetta with it's rockpools, Dolceaqua with it stunning roman bridge once painted by Monet to mention but a few.

Nice is our nearest airport, but Genoa is another option, about a 2 hr. drive away.

Wonderful and unique experience. Wonderful and helpful host.

This is the most unusual place that I have stayed in all my trips to Italy. The town is almost all medieval. The flat is very comfortable, renovated in a way that preserved the unique character of local homes. Cora is a very very good host. We had generally a very good experience in Apricale.

Wonderful holiday !

We loved our week in Cora's little house . It is really well equipped and tastefully furnished . We received a warm and helpful welcome from Jeanette ...thank you ! Yes , lots of stairs but we felt much fitter by the end of our stay ! We would definitely recommend this charming , quirky house and we would love to stay again , Apricale is magical .

Wonderful mountain retreat!

Cora's little house in Apricale is beautiful with everything you could possibly want for a wonderful stay in this extraordinary mountain village. The quality of the finish is superb and we were very impressed at how beautifully clean the place was. We were met, as planned, by our contact and led up the amazing laberynth of streets and alleyways which make Apricale so special. The service was great and we soon acquainted ourselves with the excellent local restaurants. On the top floor of the house is a lovely terrace which we made very good use of every evening. It is a short drive or bus ride into the nearby towns of Dolcheaqua, Camporosso and sea side towns with great beaches. I would thoroughly recommend this house if you are fit and able bodied. Elderly or infirm folk may find the steps difficult. Many thanks again for a fantastic stay X

Tolle Auszeit

Wir waren zum wandern und zum Baden eine Woche in dem tollen Haus. Der Kontakt war nett und unkompliziert. Das Haus ist toll und wie die Vorbewerter schon geschrieben haben, sollte man eine Grundfitness mitbringen. Die Terrasse ist der sehr schön und man kann die Abende dort geniessen. Tolle Wandermöglichkeiten direkt ab Ort, Restaurants im Ort kann man alle empfehlen. Durch die Bank ein gelungener Urlaub, bei netten unkomplizierten Gastgebern

Juste pour une étape

Maison très spartiate dans un village certes curieux qui mérite à être visité (comme beaucoup d'autres autour) mais très difficile d'accès où tout devient très vite un problème : garer sa voiture, porter les courses ou ses bagages dans les ruelles, quasiment pas de commerces... Bref, un lieu qui mérite de faire une étape de deux ou trois jours maximum mais pas pour y passer deux semaines de vacances !

Very charming house in a very charming village

A house with a lot of character, tastefully decorated, with a lot of relatively steep stairs. We loved it! Only the august heat was a bit too much for us. But even in the hottest nights, the temperature in the bedroom on the 2nd-lowest of the 4 floors was bearable.

Ein wunderschöner Kontrast zu der modernen Welt & eine Chance dieser kurz zu entkommen!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne erholsame Woche in der Casa Ristretta - Ruhe pur! Die nötigsten Einkäufe konnten wir in dem nahe gelegenen Tante Emma Lädchen machen - wie schön einmal ganz auf das Auto verzichten zu können! Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet und alles war sehr sauber - die Aussicht von dem super schönen Sonnenbalkon, vor dem die fröhlichen Schwalben ihre Flugkünste vorführen, ist wunderbar. Das Stufensteigen in der Wohnung und in der Ortschaft sowie die schönen Wanderungen um Apricale sorgen für Bewegung - und das war gut so! Wir sind dankbar für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Ein außergewöhnliches Feriendomizil

Apricale ist ein wunderschönes altes Bergdorf. Urige steile und verwinkelte Gassen mit einer empfehlenswerten Gastronomie. Eine ausgesprochen schöne Berggegend zum Wandern. Ideale Ausflüge an die Côte d’Azur (Monaco,Monte Carlo Nizza) ganz in der Nähe. Als Empfehlung mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Die Ferienwohnung sehr sauber ,ganz liebevoll eingerichtet mit einer herrlichen Dachterrasse und es fehlt an nichts. Cora hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Wenn ein Problem war hat sie gleich geholfen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für den Weg zur Wohnung bedarf es einer guten Kondition. Die Wohnung ist auf 4 Stockwerke verteilt und nur ohne körperliche Einschränkungen zu bewohnen. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in wundervoller Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sie ist sehr ursprünglich in der alten Architektur, auch im Haus. Einfache Innengestaltung, die aber sehr gut zum Stil des Hauses passt. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Panoramablick. Das ganze Dorf ist einfach wunderschön und ruhig. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, das ist uns besonders wichtig. Trotz der hohen Außentemperaturen war im Haus ein angenehmes Klima. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns gut erholt. Die Treppen sind tatsächlich etwas schwierig, wenn man nicht gut zu Fuß ist. Auf dem Treppengang von der Küche zur Terrasse hätten wir uns wie im Stockwerk darunter ein Geländer gewünscht. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.

Diese Unterkunft ist nur für sportlich aktive Menschen geeignet

Das „Little House“ befindet sich mitten im historischen Dorf Apricale. Das Dorf selbst ist wirklich sehenswert und richtig urig. Vom Parkplatz zum Appartement sind gute 8-10 Minuten zum Gehen, fast immer bergauf. Hier braucht man nur rutschfeste und stabile Schuhe, da Wege im originalen Zustand (grobe Steine) belassen wurden. Das Appartement besteht aus 4 Ebenen. Ganz unten befindet sich das Badezimmer, steile Aufgang führt dann ins kleine Wohn- und Schlafzimmer, von hier aus geht es steil nach oben zur Küche und zum Ausgang, anschließend geht es steil nach oben zur Terrasse. Der Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse haben mein Mann und ich besonders genossen. Mit dem Eintritt der Dunkelheit Herrnstrasse hier unglaubliche Stille. Auch hier im Appartement braucht man unbedingt feste, stabile Schuhe und Trettsicherheit. Ansonsten fehlte uns an nichts. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Beim Duschen mussten wir auch uns mäßigen. Das warme Wasser war begrenzt. Das Badezimmer war schwer zu lüften. Die Gastgeberin Cora war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zur Begrüßung bekamen wir eine Flasche lokalen Wein und Obst. Alles in Allem, den Menschen, die nicht trainiert sind, würde ich vom Aufenthalt in diesem Appartement abraten.

Eindrucksvoll und heimeliig

Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und wir wurden zuvorkommend empfangen und geleitet. (Man braucht am Anfang etwas Hilfe um das Haus zu finden). In dem Haus haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt: uraltes Ambiente kombiniert mit moderner Technik. Apricale ist total spannend. Die Natur drumherum opulent. Man braucht nicht mit dem Auto wegzufahren, sondern kann von der Haustüre aus loswandern. Ganz wunderbar

Bisogna aver voglia di fare due passi, ma il borgo è molto bello e la gente cordiale. Cora è stata precisa e disponibile. Avrei messo qualche foto in più sulle scale interne, che effettivamente sono un po' impegnative.

Ruhiger, entspannender Kurztrip

Wir wollten einfach ein paar Tage unsere Ruhe vom Alltag. Ich habe dieses Inserat gefunden und auch, wenn wir uns eigentlich auf einen Strandurlaub geeinigt hatten, waren wir sofort verliebt. Die halbe Stunde runter zum Strand war uns diese Atmosphäre allein anhand der Bilder wert. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es ist einfach beruhigend morgens aus den Fenster in die kleinen Gässchen zu schauen und oben auf dem Balkon, der eigentlich eher ein eigener Raum ist, in die waldigen Berge zu schauen. Es war schon etwas touristisch, aber nicht überlaufen. Abends war es etwas schwer ein Restaurant zu finden ohne vorherige Reservierung, aber wenn man das wusste- kein Problem. Der nächste Strand ist steinig, aber es gibt auch sandige Ecken zum liegen. Ansonsten gibt es viele Liegen zum leihen. Cora war ein toller Host und leicht zu erreichen. Über das Haus will ich gar nicht zu viel schreiben. Es ist wunderschön dort. Aber ich kann diesen urigen und pittoresken Flair nicht in die passenden Worte fassen. Apricale und dieses kleine Häuschen sind es wert sich einen eigenen Eindruck zu verschaffen. Danke für diesen tollen Aufenthalt :)

Haus vermittelt ein uriges Wohngefühl und hat 4 Etagen! Das Haus ist nur fussläufig erreichbar. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt!

Historisch-romantische Bergdorfidylle vom Feinsten

Das Haus ist superurig und idyllisch, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Im Sommer angenehm kühl. Die Zimmer liegen quasi übereinander. Man sollte gut zu Fuss sein, für Haus und Dorf, die substanz ist historisch und sehr romantisch. Ein sehr entspannender Ort. Cora ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin

Wunderbar!

Wir konnten etwas über eine Woche in Coras wunderbarem Haus verbringen. Für uns als Paar hat wirklich alles gepasst. Wir müssen sehr lange zurückdenken um uns an einen ähnlich entspannenden Urlaub zu erinnern. Das Haus wurde vom ersten Tag an „unseres“, und wir freuten uns jedes mal wieder zurückzukommen. Apricale ist sehr schön und vor allem, bis auf die Zufahrtsstraße, Autofrei. Wir haben festgestellt, dass das ein unheimlich positiver Faktor ist. Die Umgebung ist toll, und lädt vor allem auch zum Wandern ein. Strände sind in relativ kurzer Zeit erreichen. Cora selbst ist eine superfreundliche und unkomplizierte Gatgeberin. Wir werden irgendwann wiederkommen. Das steht fest!

Italiaans leven.

Leuk huis in een middeleeuwse omgeving. Je bent onderdeel van het Italiaanse leven in dit dorp. En dat is een belevenis die je gewoon eens moet ondergaan. Zon, heerlijk eten, een prachtige omgeving wat wil je nog meer....een goed bed alles is er.

Sehr schön, mit Liebe zum Detail

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, ausgesprochen schön eingerichtetes Häuschen in einem insgesamt netten und ruhigen Ort ohne Zufahrtsmöglichkeit. Entfernung vom Parkplatz zum Mietobjekt rund 500 Meter. Apricale bietet sich an für tolle Wanderungen, sowie für Ausflüge z.B. nach Monaco und Nizza.
