Charming and spacious house that combines modern comfort and true colonial style in a peaceful residential area, with garden and a beautiful private pool ; with fantastic views to the volcanoes and coffee plantations, at very short distance from wonderful historical sites and downtown Antigua.
Villa Cariño is an elegant and fully equipped two floor house nicely situated within a safe and peaceful residential area at a very short distance from the beautiful historical site of Iglesia del Calvario; away from noise and crowds yet still close to all the wonders Antigua has to offer.

The house beautiful design cleverly connects the comfortable living spaces with the traditional garden, pool, patios and terraces in a seamless fashion; letting you enjoy the relaxing sound of the running fountain and the wonderful Antigua climate.

A beautiful and spacious social area is smartly situated in the center of the 1st floor, including a comfortable living room with cable TV, Netflix and entertainment center, a dinning room with open fireplace, and a big, modern kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, etc.
Also on the first floor you will find:
* A charming Hall, with desk area and a reception dinning room .
* A very comfortable Corridor with fountain and colonial wicker classic living room.
In front of the garden and the pool another beautiful Colonial Corridor with a perfect area with an spacious dinning room and another dining room.
* The master bedroom with King bed, fireplace and its own walk-in closet and spacious bathroom, with direct access to the garden & beautiful private pool.
* 2 bedrooms, one with Queen bed, walk-in closet and private bathroom and the other with 1 single bed.
* A traditional service area with 1 single room with its own bathroom, a "pila" patio, a modern laundry room with washing machine and dryer,, with a direct connection to the garage for easy loading.

On the second floor you'll find:
* A large room with open fire place with 2 full beds and , with direct access to a beautiful terrace facing the volcanoes, and overseeing the garden and outdoor social area.
* 2 more bedrooms with 2 twins beds each one, and one more bathroom.
* 2 Ample solarium and and roof top terrace with comfortable furnitures and beautiful views to the coffee plantations, and with comfortable covered kiosk furnished to enjoy the terrace.
* Garden with comfortable sunbeds and sun umbrela, private pool with solar heaters, outdoor bathroom and hot shower and a large barbecue area.

The house has a outdoor parking space. You can enjoy walking or using your car. If you do not have a car we recommend using taxi or tuc tuc; it should not cost you more than 10-12 USD to be in the town-center in 5min.

The location of the house is ideal to explore Antigua, and also an ideal base to move around and discover the other wonders Guatemala has to offer; such as lake Atitlan, Chichicastenango, the Pacific and Caribbean coasts and, being only 45 minutes away from Guatemala City airport, you can also cover Tikal and the other amazing Mayan sites in the rain forests of Petén.

My husband and I rented Villa Cariño near Antigua Guatemala. We had an incredible stay at this two-story home with a breathtaking view of the volcano, and accommodations for a big family. The private heated pool was a fantastic bonus, and the gated community made us feel secure and comfortable. Communication with the host was seamless, and we even got to meet them upon arrival. The interior was immaculate, blending Spanish and colonial styles beautifully. Getting to Antigua Guatemala took less than 10 minutes by Uber. Overall, it was a perfect getaway for my family! Thank you for welcoming us.

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home! It is just gorgeous, built in the colonial style with beautiful wood, tile and antique furniture but with all the modern amenities like a heated pool, fully furnished kitchen, etc. There was plenty of space for our family of 10, the beds and linens were comfortable and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the inner courtyard with its beautiful flowers and the upstairs terraces with their lovely views. Excellent security as well. The hosts are lovely people who greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. Five stars in every way—my only 4 star rating was for the location since the house is located a bit too far from Antigua’s central square to walk easily (although we did walk several times—about a 20-25 minute walk). We will definitely stay again if we make it back to Antigua.

What a beautiful home! You really feel like you're visiting family in Guatemala but with incredible privacy. Antigua is BEAUTIFUL and about a half hour walk from the house. This home is lovely, but not for kids under 10. be well behaved.

Our stay at this property exceeded our expectations! From the pictures, we could tell it was very nice. The pictures don’t do it justice! We traveled as an adult family of 6 and had plenty of space. Beautiful Home

This is a magnificent property full of beauty and tranquility. My family and I enjoyed our recent trip and the privacy. Maite was a gracious host and always checking in to see how we were doing even while she was on her own vacation. Alberto and Andrea who help with any issues were very nice and gracious. What can i say about the house other than its comfortable and gorgeous. Everyonee in my family had their own room, I was able to grill a couple of days and the pool was awesome. This place is like a museum and from the outside you wouldn't think that it had that much space. Once you are inside, you see the beauty and appreciate the layout. Full kitchen, nice showers, spacious bedrooms, great wifi, TV, and many places to sit down and lounge and reflect while you are resting. We loved the outside fountain within the house, and the terrace on the second floor. Food can be delivered to the house and taking ubers/taxis to Parque central is a 5-10 minute drive away. Ubers are inexpensive. Overall. The home is cozy and was built with love from what I felt and saw. Lots of detail and thought was given in building it and its something I truly appreciate. Such an amazing property, safe, clean, secure, and very relaxing. The area is very quiet and only about a five minute drive to center of town. Such a cool home. Our family enjoyed the stay very much. Home away from home

We had 5 adults and 3 children, as well as 2 extra adults for half of the stay. The house is warm and inviting, has everything necessary in the kitchen and bathrooms, and is tastefully decorated! Bonus features were the private backyard and pool, as well as the locked gate to the homes with a guard there at all times. Highly recommend this lovely home for anyone visiting Antigua! Wonderful stay again.

Every time we stay here it’s wonderful. Close to town. This is a very wonderful house. This house is our prime choice when visiting Guatemala. House keeper is available for cleaning and cooking and does a wonderful Job.
