Meh… but has potential

Arrived very late to find that the sofa bed for extra child was not done up. Called receptionist and housekeeper arrived within 10 mins so not too bad. Aircon was not on so it was time consuming to figure it out (it was 28 degrees at 23:00 night when we checked in!) but we did. Room was ok, very loud planes every 3 mins (I’m not kidding!) Breakfast was bad - we did not eat! Pool was ok, bit small. Overall average, could have been much better! Has potential I would not stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but didn’t like that we could not order food from restaurants outside until after a certain time. We had electrical issues in our room but were dealt with in good time. The hotel facilities were lovely overall, especially the breakfast and their spa service,

Hotel was nice but there isn't very much to see and do surrounding it. It is directly under the flight path with planes coming in every few minutes which can be very loud. Hotel restaurant and pool area is nice.

Great hotel if you don't mind the noise of airplanes going by every 5 mins as they land. It's practically at all hours. The hotel spa is ok. The breakfast is not that great. The staff is super nice and friendly. They keep the rooms and property very clean. I was disabled so I asked for an elevator and they put me in the main building. The other buildings that Expedia price gets you are by the pool and don't have elevators. I think they are three stories each. It was very nice of the hotel to accommodate my disability needs. They have a sign that states no outside food but they did not inforce it. Also no alcohol is served on the property and resturant. Great location if you need to book a hotel by the airport.

They were going to give us a room in a separate building on the 3rd floor and with no elevator. They claimed this is what you get for the discounted amount I paid on expedia. Then they asked for extra money to upgrade to a different room in the main building with elevator. We had no choice but to pay since we had luggage. Beware when booking with this hotel.

We regularly stay at the Optimum Hotel and Spa in Lara, and our recent trip as usual was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. They are always amazing—attentive, friendly, and ready to go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The location is another highlight. Not only is it convenient, but it also makes you feel like you’re part of the local community. The area even has a touch of glamour that reminded us of Miami! As for the facilities, they’re outstanding. The indoor pool is beautifully maintained and offers a serene retreat, while the outdoor pool is equally impressive, perfect for relaxing under the sun. All in all, the Optimum Hotel and Spa is a gem in Lara, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at the Optimum especially the tranquility and spa were superb. The customer service was excellent. The manager( Bartun ) was very helpful, he assisted in all our requirements. We were nourished and refreshed, we will certainly come back for our next vacation.

I will never use Expedia again due to their lack of compassion. I was admitted to the hospital for a heart condition and was unable to travel. Despite providing all the necessary paperwork and evidence to explain my situation, I was denied a refund for this hotel . As a result, I lost all my money. I cannot recommend your services to anyone as I never used these facilities.

Lovely hotel, clean and modern. However, the drink in the room mini bar are extortionate, so don't use them. I was in a rush to leave the hotel for the airport and had to wait for them to check my mini bar, so in a hurry I paid the bill (which I believe I was overcharged)and emailed them twice when at home for a breakdown. They have never replied! Also the breakfast was lovely but it was not kept stocked and guests were waiting for cups and food to arrive
