Overall stay is good and staff are all nice. The only thing is wifi does not reach our room on second floor so we have to go down to have internet. It would also be nice if the hotel can have clothes iron that guests can borrow as not everyone brings a portable one. Convenient location with lots of dining options around and close to shops and stores.

Too much for too little

Hotel has great charm and location but was lacking in other areas. We like to get out and hike all day, and the way the it conditioning is set, it only works while you are in the room. Coming back to a 95 degree room at 9pm after a long day was a shock. The hot water and water pressure were completely lacking. There were points were water would not even come out if set to hot. When they did house keeping, the weren’t even bothered to make the bed. Lastly, the room door had to be locked in order for it to stay shut (by a manual key attached to the card that allowed you to use electricity in the room). For the money ($187 USD/night) it was very lacking and we were thoroughly under impressed.

The room very very small to to level that you don’t have space for only hand bag. The bathroom is very bad. They let me pay a 10€ for 40 min after the check out time. The location and the receptionist “hemsa” is the only good about this place.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Castle Old Town. The location is wonderful, the hotel itself beautifully designed. Buffet breakfast had lots of options with different cheeses, salamis, olives, pancakes, cereal, eggs, toast, jam and honey, tea and coffee. Staff are very friendly!

Dirty experience

Might be we weren’t lucky, and normally guests get clean rooms at Castle Old Town, but feel like I must leave the comment here. The room we got was dirty, bathroom seemed to be a room which has never been visited by housekeepers. Toilet was dirty, and there was somebody’s razor and shower gel on the bath. So we had to lose our time to negotiate another room which was cleaned but still not renovated. But the breakfast was good.
