A gem on the Anstruther coast

An amazing hotel with wonderful staff and amazing food at the restaurant. The rooms are unique albeit slightly quirky but always high quality and comfortable. A real gem ....

This lodging was a great surprise for us. The appartements are located behind the facade of the Waterfront restaurent in an alley. Everything was very clean, renovated with a friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Very noisy in the old building in the back. While rooms have been updated nicely, the insulation in the walls and ceiling certainly was not. Whenever anyone walks around, the building creaks and groans like an old schooner in a storm. You can hear conversations and TVs in the adjacent rooms and above. We were treated to the BBC news until 1:30am and it started again at 6am. Breakfast was good as most reviews say. Otherwise, I am very surprised that more reviews don’t mention how noisy it is. Good from far, far from good.
