Lovely location! Not a golfer but might give it a try! Relaxing clean, and comfortable. Pool, gym and Spa facilities really good! Would recommend the Indian head massage and reflexology treatments.

A delightful stay

We had a lovely stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary ❤️. We had upgraded to a Junior Suite which was perfect for our needs. We had a fantastic view of the 18th and enjoyed watching the golfers finish their round. The Spa was great and we enjoyed using the pool facilities. Dinner and breakfast were both very good.

It was a lovely overnight stay. We enjoyed the leisure facilities,the pool area was spotlessly clean,sauna steam room and jacuzzi was great. Our room was terrific,view to the sea,very spacious and a powerful shower. We didnt dine as we had eaten in St Andrews in the afternoon but the restraunt looked nice. Had a couple of drinks and a virw onto the course as the weather was still nice. Lovely place to spend an overnight stay. Will we be back ? YOU BET.

Great hotel and very good value.

Second time staying at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Will definitely be back. Staff are very friendly, patient & professional. Cheryl welcomed us and was really helpful throughout our stay. Good, big, room with lovely views over the golf course. Breakfast is one of the best I've had. All cooked to order, rather than the usual lukewarm buffet. Look forward to returning soon.

Great food, stunning views but take ear plugs!

I've stayed at Carnoustie Golf and Spa Hotel twice in as many months. Sadly i wasnt able to use the spa as my trips have been for work but the views are outstanding- each time I've stayed in a room with a view of the course. The third floor is a bit tired now and lacked a full length mirror but was very spacuous. The second floor with the renovated bathrooms and new carpets has made a huge difference, having stayed where they've yet to upgrade. Love the Highland Soap Company toiletries, the Nespresso machine and having an iron & ironing board is always welcome. The beds are very comfortable and you'll not want to get up in the morning - once you get to sleep (see below). Staff were mostly welcoming and helpful, the breakfast staff in particular are amongst the warmest people I've met. What I didnt like: room service - you need to ask for a menu at reception - that you'll need to phone for on your mobile phone because the telephone didn't work in either of my rooms. And if you're going to add some leaves / side salad to a plate, please add some dressing. But my biggest dislike: hearing people talk, snore, their TV in the room either side of me!! The walls clearly have no soundproofing whatsoever which was really disappointing and is probably why I wouldnt stay again - sleep is important.

The hotel was fine but the restaurant was pure Fawlty Towers. Drinks ordered but not delivered, staff undertrained, food late and cold, portions small, plates not cleared, no sense of organisation anywhere. Maybe it was just a bad night but there should be no excuses really. Three stars for hotel quality only, but restaurant really needs to up it game.
