Close to where I needed to be

Don't stay here expecting house keeping to come by with clean towels and bathroom tissue, if you want it you have to go to the front desk to get them. Need waste basket emptied, tie it up and leave it in the hallway

Not fancy, but great price and kitchen

Pros: Price, kitchenette where you can really cook a breakfast.
Cons: Queen beds should replace kings in tight rooms
Location: Shopping, and close to several eateries, plus Anderson Univ.
We have stayed at this Hometown Suites often in our travels. It is now joined with In-Town Suites. Since being damaged by water, they have (and still are as of 5/2016) renovating. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. Rooms are 1-2 bedrooms with a very nicely equipped kitchenette. Rooms are very "compact" and would be improved using queen beds instead of kings, which makes maneuvering a bit tricky. Located conveniently close to Anderson shopping and Anderson University. Well worth the price, but if you are looking for luxury or lots of amenities, this may not be your choice.

Neat, clean, close to shopping & restaurants, fwy.

Was there to visit my son who is a student at Clemson. Location not best for that but I'd waited to book my reservation. Overall experience was great. Worked perfect for my needs.

Wow!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Home-Towne Suites had everything I wanted and felt like home. The flat-screen TVs with built-in DVD players (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) were a welcome sight and I was able to hook up my Wii that I just happened to have along for visiting friends. The work desk in the room was perfect for getting all of my computer work done and the internet access was fast enough for what I needed to get done. Overall, a very warm and inviting place to stay. Thank you. My only negative comment was the maid. I was told I would get a light cleaning on my 2nd day (towels changed) and it did not happen. I was also ready to leave and she saw this, left her cart directly across from my door and disappeared. I couldn't get a luggage cart around it without moving it out of the way - it was rude.

Definitely Not What I Thought!

I had very high expectations of the hotel based on the pictures and the various reviews left by other travelers. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with my stay. The lack of professionalism with the front desk staff definitely put a damper on my stay. There were MANY things wrong with the room from not having toilet paper, lightbulbs blown out, phones not working etc. They really need to take the time to update the rooms and confirm all is working prior to renting out the rooms. My credit card was charged every 2 days despite being told by the front desk that I would pay upon checkout. No one seems to understand the hotels policies (this would be the people that work there). Also, the doors should've been secure after hours but they werent, people were able to gain access to the hotel all hours of the night. All in all, I will not stay there again next year!!!!!!!

great value

I stayed here a little over a year ago, I believe it may have been under different management. The location was great, room was clean, and staff friendly. It is definitely a great choice for an extended stay due to the availability of suites with kitchenettes and laundry facilities.
