A beautiful setting however poor lighting in the car park made it difficult to find our lodge. Didn’t like the musty smell of the room and the reception lobby was quite drabby and dis not look clean.

Gorgeous stay, lovely views (and big window) even with awful weather! Spacious bathroom woth great shower. We loved that there was a drying cupboard for wet coats, boots and dog towels! It wasnt clear where to park for the scafell rooms, and ended up being quite a walk with our bags, dog cage and dog in the wind & rain.

Great stay!

Had a great stay here in one of the lodges, room was nice and clean, really spacious, nice and warm, great location, good facilities for tea/ coffee, got a mini fridge too, not far from Ambleside cost £5 for a taxi, loads of space to park
