Our stay was very inconvenient and miserable as the bed room was very very small and bed is placed under a staircase. Roof had exposed pipelines running. Also the apartment was not even close to what is been advertised. In a word it ruined our stay.

The best stay in Norway. The property manager is very helpful and arranged the best option for us. The buildings are beautiful in Ålesund, and the people showed kindness to us and it is very much appreciated!

It was a lovely experience. The property was at a great location close to the dock and the main town. Parking was convenient and the apartment was well equipped. The bathroom didn’t have soap but other than that the overall experience was very good

Its a small cute. Place, i was in a hurry to book this as i was taking off for Alesund cuz my accomodation cant take us because since my flight was delayed. I put 3 ppl.. there is a sofa but no sheets and pillow , not enough supply for the third person to sleep , otherwise its ok

I do not recommend this. There is very little literature regarding managing the flat, no direct online contact method or listed emergency number. This was problematic when on arrival the wifi did not work. I found a number for the property on google maps, calling the number I was told to call a different number, even though I pointed out that the call for me is international and expensive, the person on the other end did not offer to call on my behalf or call me back. No help for the wifi was given, which I had to solve by switching off the property electricity via the main swicthboard in order to get the wifi restarted. Room is small, wardrobe is in the kitchen. Although check out is at 11, cleaning statff started knocking on the door from 1030 and insisted on "checking the apartment".

Place was centrally located. Walking distance to harbour. We liked secured doors. Had great water pressure and provided hot water. We liked having washing machine/dryer combo. Owner was responsive to messages. We highly recommend this place.

We had the worst experience at this property with partying happening like it was a disco all night. There was a graduation party and people kept coming in through the night. Played loud music and threw beer cans and pizza slices on stairs. Thet kept banging on our door and i was scared for my safety.I could post pictures of how dirty and unsafe the stairs were in the morning if expedia allowed photos.

Girlsnight

A whole day of sauna, dining and concert with City apartment as our base in Ålesund. Perfect location, easy check-in, comfy beds and very cute rooftop terrace. All in all a perfect chose for Ålesund.

Won’t stay here again. No elevator. Super tiny room. No shampoo or conditioner in the shower. Had a glass door in the bedroom that opened to someone’s private staircase and front door.

Ideal location. Property is very small so could be challenging for more than 2 people. Also had no communication about parking till after we’d left, we parked on the street outside which is free from 18.00 to 8.00 then you will have to for 2 hours at a time.

Comfy and Cozy.

Easiest check in with codes sent to your phone or email. Internet was good, streaming and casting from phone to TV. The fact that there was a washer and dryer was a blessing, you can only do small loads, but I'll take anything when traveling with a small child. Kitchen was well stocked and all in all so comfortable and cozy. The location is so central and one block from the main shopping strip and restaurants nearby. Parking was fine, there's a garage around the corner by the Pub (Smutthullet) or you can park on the street from 4pm to 8am for free.
