Cozy holiday home, built in traditional, old style. Offering a fantastic location right on the Ellingsøyfjord and not far from the charming town of Ålesund. The house was completely renovated in 2019 and is bright and friendly, furnished in a slightly nostalgic style. Modern kitchen with induction stove. Cozy sitting area in the living area. Cot and high chair for toddlers can be provided upon request. There are two bedrooms in the house. Above the roof ridge is also an open Hems with low double lounger. The terrace is like in the past made of stone and rocks. To the waters Spjelkavikelva and Brusdalsvannet with salmon and trout it is only 8 km from the house. The area is also known for its good cod district in the Borgund Fjord, where big fishing takes place every year in March / April. Excursion tours e.g. to Geiranger by the owner's boat (day cruiser) can be arranged for a fee. The city of Ålesund is known for its distinctive Art Nouveau architecture with towers, turrets and imaginative ornaments on the facades. Outside of Ålesund is the Atlantic Park, Northern Europe's largest aquarium with Atlantic fish species. From the city park, you can walk up the 418 steps to Fjellstua, where you can enjoy a meal in the restaurant and a magnificent view over the city of Ålesund. Day trips by car to Geiranger, to the bird cliffs of Runde, to the glacier Briksdalsbreen in Olden or to the viewing platform Trollstigen are recommended. Private boat dock 30 meters from the house.
