Good hotel
Very clean, basic with new bathroom. Blinds let in a lot of light so early wake up. Bit noisy as bathroom window permanently open.

Disappointing stay!
After reading the reviews I thought we might have a shot at a quiet room for two nights as the motel was opposite a park, next to the Murray R. This was not the case! The first night found that there were a lot of contract workers booked in. Outside the room beside us were two pairs of boots on their doorstep, with a pair of discarded socks! Great. Later, we found that the road outside the motel is haunted by local hoons in souped-up cars, who rev up their motors and scream past the motel at various times in the evenings. At 2am on the first night at a couple decided to have a loud, sweary fight right outside our room which ended up out in the carpark, with a woman discharging a fire extinguisher on the bloke she was swearing at. Someone on the other side reported it in and the cops turned up ten minutes later, but by then they had gone. The second night there was a busload of people staying, who decided to have a noisy get-together outside for hours. This was complemented by a large group of equally loud youngsters who were having a sort of 'party' at the other end of the motel. There was a lot of running about and screaming. As a result not much sleep was had by us either night! To cap it off, there was no water in the swimming pool, and our 'complimentary' bottle of wine did not appear! This is probably the worst place we have stayed at when booking with Hotels.com. The bed was OK, room a bit tired looking but a decent size. It was convenient. But that's it! Never again!

Whilst polite and welcoming, honesty would be appreciated. The property is next door to an industrial estate, it might not suit travellers wanting a quiet rest, with heavy machinery, staff calling out and trucks running engines by the window. Inside clean, older style, met reasonable expectations, cutlery/plates drawer heavy, difficult to open or shut. The website lists a pool, empty (accessible hazard). An email from hotel told us of the lovely bbq area, not so, with dusty table and bbq out of order. Staff simply explain it away, but same high prices.
