Beautifully designed rooms, cleaned regularly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that it is off season but the variety for lunch and dinner was very limited. If it’s the same during peak season you’re better off doing breakfast only and go out to eat. Albufeira is pretty cheap.

Cold food at breakfast with flies in the food. Other guests had food poisoning. Rooms are dangerous and I had a serious accident where a moving wall gave way and I fell into a marble table and a 72" that fell and the marble smashed. Hotel was not sorry. Hotel pool is empty and derelict and full of tables and chairs rather than water. Jacuzzis are also broken and not working. do not go to this hotel if you want a spa or pool.

Five star property geared towards adults, lives up to its reputation of cleanliness, comfort, and luxury. The grounds are beautifully maintained and well landscaped. There are 6 outdoor swimming pools with an abundance of lounge chairs, umbrellas and daybeds- no need to reserve. Beach access with a lovely boardwalk from the hotel to the beach. The hotel has been renovated and is exceptionally clean. The only improvement would be the restaurant service. Though the food was very good, the service was extremely slow and unorganized. I would highly recommend. Lovely friendly staff.

Growing pains

This hotel has just reopened as the Westin about a month ago so they’re going through a bit of growing pains as they establish new operations. For example- the kids club was open but there’s no AC so it gets quite hot and they don’t have proper sign in papers yet. I messaged several times ahead of arrival (and upon booking) that we need a crib but they didn’t read the messages and we had to wait a bit after checking in for a crib to be delivered. It’ll be great later this summer but for now expect a bit of growing pains and patience with a very kind staff.

The property was clean, and the staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated. However, I was disappointed to learn that the hotel is not actually located on the beach — there’s a bridge you have to walk across to reach it. Additionally, it’s quite a distance from the Old Town of Albufeira, which made exploring the area less convenient. The dining options on-site were very limited, and what was available was surprisingly expensive given the mediocre quality of the food. As for entertainment, the resort offered very little — just two singers, one on Friday and another on Saturday night. The Friday performance was okay, but Saturday’s was honestly hard to sit through. Had I known the property wasn’t truly beachfront and lacked amenities and entertainment, I likely would have chosen a different location. It’s a decent stay if you’re looking for something quiet and minimal, but not ideal if you’re expecting a full resort experience.

Die Lage fantastisch, die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und Gartenanlage, Pools und Lobby in einem sehr guten Zustand. Wir hatten eine Juniorsuite gebucht mit Meerblick. Dieser ist in der 2. Etage in der Ferne möglich. Allerdings überwiegt der Blick auf die Anlage, daher sollte man sich gut überlegen, ob der Aufpreis das wert ist. Die Juniorsuiten sind groß und spärlich eingerichtet. Keinerlei Harken zum Aufhängen von Jacken o.ä. Ein kleines Sideboard mit Nespressomaschine, Wasserkocher und Minikühlschrank. Allerdings muss man das Wasser im Bad holen und das ist für ein 5-Sterne Haus nicht gerechtfertigt, zumal mehr als ausreichend Platz für ein Sideboard/ Miniküche mit Spülbecken etc. wäre. Somit gibt es auch nur Gläser, Kaffeeebecher und -löffel. Die wunderbaren Schiebetüren sind schwerfällig und liessen sich in 2202 nicht komplett verriegeln. Hatte man eine Seite komplett verschlossen, stand die andere Seite wieder 2 cm offen und ließ sich von außen aufschieben. Auch der Besuch des Haushandwerkers brachte keine Abhilfe. Das Schlafzimmer ist wunderbar, aber auch hier fehlten Harken für die bereitgestellten Bademäntel. Das Bad mit Dusche ist in der Relation zu klein, Harken für Handtücher fehlen. Wir mögen dieses Hotel, aber es sollte etwas an der Einrichtung nachgearbeitet werden. Das Housekeeping ist teilweise sehr gut, an manchen Tagen nur okay.

Sehr schöner Poolbereich, grosser Fitnessbereich. Reichhaltiges, abwechslunsreiches Frühstück. Sehr schöner Golfplatz in Gehdistanz.

Tolle Hotelanlage mit 3 Pools und genügend Liegestühlen!! Nähe zum Strand und Golfplatz (ca 10min Laufweg), große Zimmer (Junior Suite) mit Balkon. Tagesausflüge nach Lissabon (2,5std Fahrt) und Sevilla (2,5std Fahrt) möglich und lohnt sich! Leihwagen direkt vom Hotel buchbar. Einige Restaurants in der Nähe zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Das Hotel sieht von außen modern und gepflegt aus. Die Anlage ist ausreichend groß und der Strand befindet sich direkt dahinter. Die Lage ist ruhig und etwas Abseits, daher sollte man einen Mietwagen nehmen oder ein Bolt Konto haben. Leider findet im gesamten Hotel kein Service statt. Zwar kann man am Pool übers Handy Speisen und Getränke bestellen, allerdings sind die Wartezeiten lange, da es für insgesamt drei Poolanlagen nur einen einzigen Kellner zu geben scheint. Pro aktiv wird gar nichts angeboten. Der "Service" am Pool wird auch bereits vor 18:00 Uhr komplett eingestellt. Aus anderen 5 Sterne Häusern kenne ich das anders. Dort werden z.B. bei Ankunft am Pool kalte Tücher und zumindest Wasser gereicht. Wir hatten das Pech, dass während unseres Aufenthaltes zwei der drei Poolanlagen ein Hygieneproblem hatten (Wasser färbte sich grün), was jedoch in den Tagen behoben wurde. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, aber spartanisch eingerichtet. Es gibt keinen Tisch oder sonstige Ablagemöglichkeiten und keine Möglichkeit nasse Badekleidung oder Tücher zu trocken. Im Badezimmer liegen von Shampoo, Spülung, Duschgel (alles fest installiert) und Bodylotion keine weiteren Amenities wie z.B. Wattestäbchen aus. Diese können aber an der Rezeption abgeholt werden. Die Zimmerreinigung ist inkonsistent. Mal werden die Handtücher nicht komplett gewechselt, mal werden benutzte Gläser nicht abgeräumt und getauscht. Das Housekeeping kam oft recht spät am Tag. Insgesamt das Geld nicht wert.
