Our room was unbearably hot. Despite the aircon being turned off, a waft of hot air kept coming in from the vent. We opened the window but that did not help and it was noisy from outside. The staff basically said “that’s how it is” but did arrange a device which blew air over ice cubes. Not effective and noisy. It was a most unsatisfactory stay. We did not get a good sleep on both nights. Very poor and uncomfortable performance from what should be a top class hotel. Tonight we are staying in a budget Route Inn at Sakata and it’s very comfortable by comparison.

Stayed 2 nights. We took the premium room which was great. Kudos to the gentleman at front desk with the black rimmed specs (sorry, didn’t get his name) who was always ready to help with a smile for our entire stay. I would have given him an excellent service badge if I could. Housekeeping, however, fell short of expectations for a good class hotel. Cups were not washed / replaced, There were specks of food dried up on the sink after housekeeping made their rounds…minus 1 star.

The hotel is located in the heart of Akita. Train / bus stations, restaurants, shopping districts and tourist spots are all well within walking distance. Hotel room is well sized and staff are very friendly. It is definitely the top choice for first timers to Akita.

The Hotel is close to everything you need super clean and with friendly staff. One issue No one speak English, but they will do everything to help you. So it was not an issue because they have the right attitude.
