Relaxing and friendly, all amenities in fantastic condition, host really helpful and always on hand if required. Quiet village, a big shout to the guys at famprika, food was hame cooked and amazing!

Loved the area at and surrounding Rodakino

This house was perfect for taking daily trips to local gorges and beaches. Also I birded the general area and experienced numerous residential and migratory species including bee-eaters. Used the outdoor grill several times and we walked to local beech for exercise. Vangelis was a solid host and gave me good information regarding this locale.

What a lovely villa in the hills! The presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail was very good. The owner welcomed us on arrival and we had excellent communication throughout the stay. Regular cleans and the pool was kept spotless. The villa is not far from the beach 1.5km, but it is down a steep hill which the kids would not have managed on foot in the heat. However, the beach by the 3 Tavernas is beautiful, sandy, clean and lovely for snorkelling. The tavernas all have good local fresh food at good prices. The snack bar was great, cheap and the staff so friendly. The bonus for the accommodation from the kids point of view was the smart TV and air con which worked well. Make sure you look at the night sky when the lights go out
 so many stars! Wonderful family time away in a great villa.

This villa is fantastic. It is beautifully furnished and well maintained there is none of the wear and tear you see in many villas. The host Vaggelis was very friendly and a really nice guy. The pool was cleaned daily and a cleaner called every 3 days providing fresh bedding and towels. The cleaner lives very close by which is really handy if after too much Rakki you lock yourself out 🙄 sorry! The village is very quiet and a car is recommended to see the island. A few minutes drive and you are at the beach with a selection of restaurants and a supermarket. I don't often do this but to avoid disappointment avoid Tiannhe.... There is a small job just a 2 minute walk from the villa which also serves lovely coffee and fresh orange juice. A great place... Great owner and lots of lovely homemade Orange cake (which we finished on the plane Vaggelis) Thanks for your hospitality. Cindy & Adam

Absolutely Perfect!!!

We were so happy we rented this truly amazing villa. Its stunning!!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like part of the community!! Vangelis made us feel so welcome and his mum makes the BEST orange cake!!!! He is always on hand if you need him but not at all intrusive! He brought us (very) fresh eggs and lettuce from his garden and was just lovely!The villa is modern and extremely clean with lots of little touches to make your stay here even more perfect. There's a bbq with everything you need to get it going, a pizza oven, a beautiful large patio covered in grapevines for very welcome shade and the pool is perfect!! Bedrooms are large with loads of closet space and the bathroom is gorgeous with an amazing walk in shower! The kitchen has everything you need and a full size fridge freezer so great for stocking up! It has beautiful views out to sea and over the countryside!! A car is essential and the roads can be "adventurous " but its great driving around and finding little out of the way tavernas!! We found a gem of a place on the beach with the best seafood! There's a tiny supermarket/taverna about a minutes walk from the villa but we found a better supermarket about 5 mins drive away which had much more choice. All in all we had the best time. Lovely villa, lovely food, lovely people, lovely weather.....what more can you ask for? Would highly recommend this villa and we will definitely be returning!!

The villa was very clean and modern and was beautifully designed. It's in a quiet location not overlooked by other houses and has a great view of the countryside. It's in a small village so great if you want a retreat that is away from the usual tourist traps. The local taverna is a short walk away. Our host was brilliant. We had a problem with our hire car driving to the villa, so he helped us call the rental company to get it sorted. He also brought us homemade cheese pies that his wife had cooked. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Pura Vida and would definitely recommend it.

Fabulous Crete hospitality

A lovely house done with a lot of care and attention. Everything brand new and done to a high standard. Tastefully decorated, good quality bed linen and towels. Comfortable beds. Big comfy sofas with more than enough space for four. Reliable wifi. Lovely pool. Water bit chilly in April but the kids still took the plunge and had heaps of fun. Garden areas very well done - lovely paved areas, surrounded by various trees including olives, orange, lemon. Lovely grape vines which must provide a welcome shady area in the hotter months. Garden lovely for relaxing in. April weather lovely - sunshine and not too hot for lengthy walks. Easy to find - the first house as you come into the village. Slightly elevated above the road so feels very private. Only very little traffic along the road anyway and you really don't notice it. A mobile veg /fruit man drives through in the morning selling locally grown food. Beautiful area - stunning landscape. Fabulous rocky mountains, dramatic gorges, pretty coast. Suprisingly green at this time of year too. Lots and lots of spring flowers. Vaggelis couldn't be a more charming and welcoming host. He made us feel so at home. Fruit, wine and chilled beers on arrival. Delicious homemade orange cake midweek and home produced olive oil as gift to take home. Very interesting to chat to him a couple of times and he speaks great English. A truly lovely man. Great recommendation from him for local taverna - Virgin Mary - go down to the lovely local beach and it's less than a mile along the coast. Fabulous food - even our unadventurous vegetarian daughters loved it. Such friendly people. And great value too. Our recommendations of lovely walks - cicular walk from the Venetian bridge to Preveli beach; up the Kallikratis gorge, cut across following the red paint to Asfendos and down the Asfendou gorge. Go to Agios Georgios cemetery church at Mourne to see beautiful frescoes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house and area. Roads generally pretty decent too. Our first visit to Crete and we have rated it our favourite Mediterranean island of the many we have visited. Very beautiful and everywhere we went the people were very welcoming and friendly. Thank you Vaggelis for a super week in your lovely house.

wunderbar ruhiges Haus

es war ein toller Urlaub. Die Gegend ist noch nicht von Touristen ĂŒberlaufen und wir fanden es herrlich. Die Straße vor dem Haus ist kaum zu merken. Vaggelis ist ein sehr netter, freundlicher Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Sehr schönes, fĂŒr vier Personen ideales, Ferienhaus an Ortsrandlage mit kleinem aber zum AbkĂŒhlen und Spaß haben idealen Pool. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. DarĂŒber hinaus gab es Kuchen von seiner Mutter, Eier, hervorragendes, eigenes Olivenöl... sehr herzlich alles gewesen. Das Haus war sauber; die Einrichtung passend. Ok, eine SpĂŒlmaschine wĂ€re im Urlaub ganz nett; ging aber auch so... Im Dorf ist immer Leben; dort gibt es noch einen kleinen Einkaufsladen, welchen wir gerne unterstĂŒtzt haben. Die direkt unterhalb des Hauses verlaufende Straße ist wenig befahren und störte uns nicht. Zum Strand fĂ€hrt man ca. zehn Minuten. Dort hat es auch einige empfehlenswerte Gastronomien. Wir waren wirklich gerne in Rodakino/Pura Vida und kommen irgendwann mal wieder...

Keurig net verblijf op een prachtige locatie

Enorm genoten van alles in en rondom het huis wat op een heel mooie plek gelegen is. Gezellige plaatsjes in de buurt, mooie strandjes en supervriendelijke mensen. Qua natuur een indrukwekkende omgeving om te verkennen! We werden verwend met allerlei lekkers. Hele goede herinneringen aan ons verblijf in Rodakino.

Excellent séjour avec propriétaire au top !

TrĂšs jolie maison, bien Ă©quipĂ©e, au calme Ă  l'entrĂ©e du village. AccĂšs Ă  la plage rapide et des visites aux alentours. Le propriĂ©taire est charmant et aux petits soins pour ses locataires ( bouteille Ă  l'arrivĂ©e et d'autres dĂ©lices pendant le sĂ©jour 😀). Piscine trĂšs agrĂ©able et nettoyĂ©e tous les jours. Een mooi en modern huis op Kreta. Top

Mooie woning en zeer netjes. Vriendelijke eigenaar. Prachtige omgeving en niet ver van het strand. Wij hadden er een rustige en fijne vakantie. Het zwembad is een pluspunt, het was er heel warm. De airco's werken goed.1 minpuntje, er staat in de beschrijving dat er een vaatwasser aanwezig is, maar dat is niet het geval. Maar verder alles prima.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Unterkunft. Das Haus war sehr sauber, es gab ausreichend HandtĂŒcher, es wurde einmal geputzt ( bei 7 Tagen Aufenthalt). Etwas abgelegen, 2 km bis zum schönen Sandstrand. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und sorgt fĂŒr alles. Wir wĂŒrden wieder kommen.

Ein sehr, sehr schönes Haus, dass keine WĂŒnsche offen lĂ€sst! Top gepflegt und super eingerichtet! Die Betreuung durch Olga und ihren Mann vor Ort war hervorragend! Alle drei Tage kommt eine Reinigungskraft, bringt neue HandtĂŒcher, bezieht die Betten neu und putzt das ganze Haus! ZusĂ€tzlich versorgt Sie uns noch mit leckerem Kuchen und selbst gebackenen Keksen! Wir können das Haus zu 100 % weiter empfehlen und kommen gerne noch mal wieder

Schitterend!

Ongelooflijk prachtig, verzorgd en functioneel huis(je) met privé-zwembad en buitendouche! Rustig gelegen nabij het dorpje Rodakino. Het huis is omringd door olijfbomen, heeft een kudde schapen als buren en biedt een mooi uitzicht over zee (bevindt zich op slechts 2 km afstand). Het strand bestaat er deels uit kiezels, deels uit zand en het zeewater is er zeer zuiver en helder. Direct aan zee vind je trouwens diverse typische taverna's (Virgin Mary absoluut aan te bevelen). Er is een mini-market op amper 60 m afstand van het verblijf. Het huis zelf werd in 2017 eigenhandig gebouwd door de eigenaar en hij mag er terecht trots op zijn. Alles supernet, goede materialen, perfect onderhouden. Er is werkelijk alles aanwezig om je verblijf ontspannen en onvergetelijk te maken: ruime woonruimte, ingerichte keuken met frigo/diepvries/fornuis/wasmachine/koffiemachine/toaster/fruitpers/..., 2 ruime slaapkamers met goede bedden en véél bergruimte, ruime badkamer met moderne inloopdouche, lavabo, WC. Goedwerkende en geluidloze airco. Bovendien een schaduwrijk terras overdekt met druiven waar je kunt eten, een ligruimte aan het zwembad met zetels en een leuke tuin met diverse citrusbomen. De eigenaar is een uitermate gastvrije persoon. Dagelijks komt hij, voor het gloren van de dag, het zwembad reinigen. Daarbij bracht hij ons diverse malen vers fruit en groenten uit eigen tuin, heerlijke cake en koekjes door zijn moeder gebakken, wijn, ... en bovendien kan je er verse citroen en komkommer zomaar uit de tuin plukken. Om de 3 dagen wordt het huis gekuist en voorzien van verse lakens/handdoeken/... Kortom, een vakantie die je er doet van dromen om voor minstens een paar maanden, zoniet voor eeuwig op die plaats te verblijven. Dank je wel Vaggelis, wij komen zeker terug!

Traumhaftes Haus fĂŒr wunderschöne Tage

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Haus ist wunderschön, alles stimmig eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Die Außenanlage ist ebenfalls traumhaft schön. TĂ€glich wird de Pool gereinigt. Der Vermieter kĂŒmmert sich sehr liebevoll um einen, bringt PrĂ€sente und hat immer ein offenes Ohr. Wir haben unseren ersten Aufenthalt auf Kreta und speziell in diesem Haus sehr genossen. Die Villa liegt am Ortseingang von Rodakino mit einem sehr schönen Blick in das Tal und auf die umliegenden Berge. Die Villa ist sehr gut geplant, top gepflegt und lĂ€sst keine WĂŒnsche offen. Wer Ruhe genießen (wir waren die einzigen Touristen im Ort) und dabei kretisches Leben erleben will, ist hier richtig. 3 Gehminuten entfernt ist eine kleine Taverne mit Minimarkt, bei dem man sich fĂŒr den tĂ€glichen Bedarf eindecken kann. 3 Kilometer entfernt, am Strand von Rodakino, gibt es weitere Restaurants und einen etwas grĂ¶ĂŸeren Supermarkt. Der Besitzer Vaggelis ist ein sehr herzlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Wir haben uns jederzeit sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und werden wieder kommen.
