Hotel is right on the beach, pool, breakfast area and the rooms are immaculate. Cleaned and changed the sheets and towels everyday and staff were incredibly friendly.

We had a wonderful experience at Emi Seaside! We felt very welcome, the room was clean and had a nice view of the beach. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious! The location was perfect. Highly, highly recommend staying at Emi Seaside!

If you are looking for a good budget option not too far from Heraklion this could suit you well. The place has direct access to a sandy beach and a pool area. A simple breakfast was included in our package. The rooms are a decent size and they were clean. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have blackout curtains for a good night’s sleep. Giorgos was very kind and helpful. He pointed us to some very good dining options in the area and his advice was thorough and accurate. Ammoudara reminds me of a budget Florida beach town: a little crowded, a little disappointing. When booking, I wasn’t aware there would be smokestacks from a coal-fired power plant 3km to the west. To be clear, I never smelled anything, nor did I see them smoking but they were there, and I wish I had known that before I booked. The price is good and place is reasonably close to Heraklion and Knossos, and there are easy transit options into the old town if you prefer to not drive.

The room was nice, clean, and modern. It was wonderful to be so close to the beach. There were many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel proprietor was helpful in arranging transportation as needed.

Our stay at Emi Seaside Resort was absolutely wonderful – everything was great, but the true highlight were the owners, who are simply the best! We really regret that we found this hotel only for our last night, as we would have loved to stay longer. This place definitely deserves more stars!

An interesting stay, staff seem to be quite intrusive and watch over us as we went about our day. Some confusion was caused as we were frequently asked to pay later for any food/drink items we bought at the hotel, despite asking to pay in the moment to make it easier for our group to determine who payed for what. We found the quiet hours timing to be quite awkward and unreasonable as it restricted our time to talk and enjoy time together in our own room. Other guests seem to enforce this in an aggressive way - even when talking very quietly amongst ourselves at 11pm we would receive knocks and bangs on the door to usher us to be completely silent. Following this, the breakfast hours finished very early so this was difficult for us to make it in time, and it was disappointing that the pool closed so early! I think overall the staff did have good intentions however it did come across as quite micro managey. If you have a young family this place would be great however for a younger group such as ourselves it is not suitable.

The Manager was top notch, we booked last min and was greeted with a drink and asked to wait one moment while the finished getting the room available. Within 5 min we were taken to our room. The staff, location and beach were all so nice we decided to extend our stay an extra day. The Manager once again was able to make arrangements for us to stay in our same room. Will definitely stay here again if we make it back to this Beautiful location.

Lovely family hotel great value for money

We really enjoyed our stay with George and his family. Hotel provides everything you need for a fantastic holiday and George really looks after you. The resident only pool , means it stays nice and relaxed. Really big rooms, with power shower and big comfortable beds

Hotel Emi was lovely, right on the beach just a few kilometres north of Heraklion. The bed was comfy, breakfast really nice. The manager/owner was very helpful. We enjoyed our two night stay.

Rooms are very dated

The room was very dated and needs renewal. However, it was clean. The communal areas are newer and fine. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Overall, I enjoyed staying here. It was bit confusing to me to find their parking lot. (It's beside train station). Hope they have another sign for Emi Seaside guest parking with an arrow. The owners (family runs the apartment) were all so friendly, kind and energetic. Only son speaks English but had no problem at all. We had to wait a little bit (5mins?) to be hosted because the owner was a bartender as well, he was making cocktails for other guests. He served us free cold orange juice which was very refreshing in hot weather. At the first glance at our room, it was not what I expected but as I stayed here longer, I really liked it. The property is old but everything looked clean. Also can't complain about the price. The beach in front of the hotel is pretty good too.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast is buffet-style with a wide variety and constant replenishment. There are never delays or waiting due to lack of products. A big plus of the hotel is its direct access to the beach, with sunbeds and umbrellas included. If you get tired of the sand, there is also a beautiful deck with a pool, sunbeds, and tables. Whether on the beach or by the pool, there is permanent bar service. But the real golden touch comes from George and his parents. They welcome all guests with warmth and kindness, always attentive to every detail. In case of any unforeseen event, they show great willingness and professional experience in solving problems. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality!
