One of our party was caught out by the hot water supply being stopped at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. Workmen cut it off and Recrotion had no knowledge of this.

Gorgeous hotel.....

Such a lovely hotel. Our room was pretty worn looking but clean. To make it a really top stay I'd say some updating of rooms in necessary but we loved our time there. GREAT food and fabulous staff and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. Really worth being based here to travel to Oxford and surrounding areas.

Won't be going there again!!

had to move rooms as the damp walls and peeling plaster in the first room just didn't appeal! The second room was better, but eas still damp and cold. Oh and the bathroom floor tiles were loose!! The mattress!... I'd definitely recommend it to an enemy! The above said, the staff were helpful and polite!

We loved the hotel when we arrived. Beautiful period building. Reception area fantastic. Unfortunately we were not in the main building! Driving to a different car park and the Garden rooms we were confronted by a complete eyesore. Very disappointing. The rooms however were a different story. The beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. Lovely thick towels and toiletries provided in the bathroom. We ate at the hotel which was good but we were shown to a separate area, the Italian “something” and the actual restaurant looked much nicer. Overall I would stay again especially if on a deal (which we weren’t but most other guests seemed to be!)

Hotel was great. Modern rooms set in pleasant grounds. Spa is open 7:00 - 22:00 and has a nice pool area. Breakfast has a good continental selection. Cooked also available.
