You can take advantage of their deal and tours, but not if you are a single dad. I was told that being a single father..I could not tour their facility and take advantage of the same deals offered to single mothers, partners both male and female, or married couples. I recommend this place to all but single dads or single guys. Apparently they don't want our money.

"Nice room and great amenities"
This was our fourth stay here in the last year. We only stayed one night this time as we were on our way home from Nashville and wanted a quick stay in Gatlinburg. Last time we stayed here, a hotel employee was overzealous in her monitoring of the pool and she was so dictatorial that my children asked to leave the pool because it 'wasn't fun'. And, no, my children were not disobeying the rules or being excessively loud. They were the only children there with several adults who appeared to have been drinking and those people complained about my children. Anyway, we chose to give this hotel another try as it is a nice place to stay. We reserved a family room, which has a K bed and four bunk beds in two rooms plus a half bath for the kids. I had requested city view and we did get that, which was very nice. The pool area was crowded with lots of children playing and having fun...that's the way a pool should be! We ate dinner out in Gatlinburg, as we usually do. We did have breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant and it was good. The omelet station is very nice and there's lots of fresh fruit in addition to the standard eggs, bacon, gravy, oatmeal and variety of breads. My children love the cookies from the front desk and my oldest asked the front desk for another cookie when we arrived back from dinner. The front desk employee was not exactly friendly and gave him a skeptical look and, wordlessly, gave him a cookie. Unless she's making them herself and has a personal interest in the cookies, she should've been more friendly and less sullen, in my opinion. The front desk person who checked us in was the same person and was not terribly friendly to me either. When I asked about a luggage cart, she pointed to the front of the hotel and said 'the carts should be there'....she never looked up while doing so. And, there's the most frustrating issues with this hotel and one that we've dealt with each time we've stayed. there simply aren't enough luggage carts! They have a bellman who helps but he guards those carts and it's difficult to get one. We sent my son to the lobby to get a cart when we were checking out and after about 25 minutes, my husband went down to find that, even though my son had politely asked, carts were being given to adults who were put in priority ahead of our 12 yo son. So, my husband told the bellman he needed a cart and one was given to him within a few minutes. That's the complaint I have with this hotel...they need to improve their luggage service and availability. Overall, we had a good stay and will most likely stay again, mainly for the family rooms.

"Great place for the money"
The hotel looked kind of outdated. Was top notch in the 80s. But it has been well maintained. The room was clean the pool was fabulous and the staff was awesome. Breakfast buffet was great value for the money. Will def. be staying there again and will recommend it to friends. Location was awesome. We never had to pay to park any where. Totally within walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

"Great place to stay for a getaway"
Upon checking in (Feb. 9), we were greeted by some nice people. We were told that they were having problems with the gas, and the hot tub was not heating. A disappointment but at least they were upfront about it. The room was small, but nice. It was a nice stay overall. We would definitely like to go stay there again.

"What a pleasant surprise!"
We stayed in a gorgeous 2 story room (room 511) with a jetted tub. The bed was very comfortable and the recently remodeled room was wonderful! Great breakfast and staff was very friendly too! One word of caution: when we booked room on Travelocity we chose the "Pay At Hotel" option. The wording made it seem that we would be charged directly by the hotel upon check in/check out BUT we were charged for the room by the hotel right after we booked the room on Travelocity, not at the time of our stay. In talking to the hotel staff I found out that the hotel's policy is that they immediately charge for the first night of your stay as a deposit. Since we were only staying one night that ended up being the full amount. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back.

"View was GREAT"
The Studio Loft had a fantastic view of Pigeon Forge and the mountains. The staff was great. The unit had everything we needed and was very clean and confortable. My daughter has a service animal (seeing eye dog) and the staff was very accommodating. The mountaion view from our balcony with the fall foliage was breath taking and night time view of Pigeon Forge looked like diamonds sparkling.

"Near everything! Liked the fire in the evening"
This is our 7th stay in Gatlinburg and our first at this facility -- a friend recommended it. Overall, we liked the hotel -- it is within walking distance of all the shopping and eating in Gatlinburg while not be right in all of the busyness. It is right across the street from the river and the area is quiet. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the fire ring outside (was always lit) -- we were out there just about every evening to decompress with the free cookies and coffee/tea. We only had two problems - 1) when we got in our room, one of the pictures on the wall was broken with loose glass. It looked like they have vacuumed the area, but the picture was still on the wall. The hotel came and got it as soon as we called and the picture was back on the wall in a couple of days. 2) the pillows on the beds were really bad -- too soft and thin to really use. We tried doubling up, but it still wasn't enough. We will be bringing our own the next time!
