"The Rainbow Inn was perfect for our family of four.We chose the Aiea area because we knew, from a prior trip to Oahu, that the neighborhood is a perfect base for exploring the entire Island. The reviews and the photos of the property made our decision easy, and we had high hopes for our stay.Vicky and Grant and their little oasis on the edge of the valley overlooking Pear Harbor outperformed all of our expectations!Our plane arrived 9 hours late from Seattle. We kept Vicky updated on our progress and she was outside waiting to give us a quick tour before we rushed to shower, eat the thoughtfully provided and much needed breakfast, and head to our USS Arizona Memorial reservation. Being greeted by a smiling and sympathetic host, after what turned into a 14-hour layover in Seatle, was just what we needed, and we are so grateful!The lower level of the Inn, for guests, is very private and so much larger than we expected! We ate breakfasts and dinners there daily and spent most of our days out and about. Coming "home" to take a dip in the pool and relax poolside was icing on the cake.Vicky and Grant were friendly and welcoming and there to help, if needed.We would absolutely stay at the Rainbow Inn again. "The house and property were amazing. The house is large and comfortably hosts 8 people. The property can only be described as a perfectly manicured estate. Great location in middle of island with 30 minutes to Honolulu and 30 minutes to North Shore (avoiding rush hours). Denny, the property owner, was always available if needed and a wonderful host. "
